We have had a business relationship with **** since 2007. Within the past several weeks our number stopped working and we have been trying to get it working again or get access to the number to transfer to another carrier. We cannot get anyone to answer the phone. We have reached out via their website for customer support numerous times. Below is the reply we received this morning from **** ******** at American Broadband. The number is NOT owned by American Broadband. Every customer we have is called a resold service. The numbers either belong to Frontier or **** and American Broadband pays each company for use of the numbers and their phone lines. Now as explained before by both myself and ******** after consulting a supervisor on this matter, Frontier tells us the number was ported out in 2007 to a company call (*************** I believe) also informed me that it is owned by ****. **** is the one that says they do not show the number as a customer past or present. My supervisor explained this account was supposed to be closed in July with the rest of the businesses that were part of the revere system. I do not know what else I can do to help, I have nowhere else to turn to get a different answer than the ones I have been given. My best answer is to unfortunately open a new account elsewhere have them forward the calls from the old number to the new and end your ties with American Broadband. I have called Frontier and ATT and both say the number is showing held by American Broadband.T-Mobile, our wireless provider also shows American Broadband holding the ********** do we gain control of our number to get it working again. We have utilized the number since 1990.

My phone has not been working for several months. I have called and left several messages with no return call. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and need a phone in the event I have a medical emergency. My daughter has also called every day for the last week, leaving several messages with no response from the company.

On 7/1/2024 I paid American Broadband and Telecommunications $64.60 because they sent me a bill. The month prior June I had my phone number ported back to Frontier. I had tried to contact American Broadband and Telecommunications to cancel my account with them. No one will answer the phone, return my call or email. I got billed from Frontier also and I paid it. I wound up paying both. I have now received another bill from American Broadband and Telecommunications. I have once again tried to contact them to close my account with no luck. Frontier has my number so I will stop paying American Broadband and Telecommunications. I know they can't disconnect me but they will probably send me to collections....what am I to do if I can' contact them?

My phone lines have been in need of service for at least 3 weeks. I have tried to call. I have left messages. I keep getting told to try a number but when I call the number it sends me back to the original number. The only option that works on their menu is the one to pay your bill. Absolutely no one will answer. I can't even get anyone to cancel my service. This is an extremely strange situation. I have threatened to call the BBB. Cancel my service and still no reply. This seems like a case of the absentee landlord. Collects rent but doesn't service. I hope by writing to The BBB I can get some results. Thank you.

Our landlines were out for almost two weeks. They were telling one of the customers they would adjust the phone bill, but they didnt. They charged all of us the full. Amount. I called them and they werent very nice. I told them I want the time that our phones were out taking off the bill. She hung up.

The end user did not open a repair with us. They also did not call to report the outage. When they called in on 6/14/24 they were rude to our representative, I have reviewed the call.

Our customer service representative did state she would forward the request to her supervisor, but it appears she did not.

I will provide the account a one time credit for $52.95 for the presumed outage.

It is important that the customer understands when there is an outage it must be reported, a repair needs to be issued, then a credit can follow.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I filed a complaint last month. Since our phones were out for ten days, I switched to ******* Wireless on June 15th. Today I got another Bill from American Broadband. Even though ******* contacted them and they released my phone number to ******* they still send me a monthly bill. I would like to clear this up once and for all.

I have been calling the Company for the past 2 weeks, starting around the 9th of February. I am trying to cancel my land line phone. I no longer need it. They will not answer the phone. I am on hold for aprox 15 min then a recording comes on the line and asks you to leave your name, home phone number and a call back number and they will return your call. BUT they have never called me back. I want to do the right thing and cancel my service properly and not just stop paying the bill, but they will not answer the calls.

My father's land line does not work. We have been calling American Broadband for service and no one calls back. My wife and I have called for weeks and have to leave a message every time. One time a lady called back and assurred us that they would have someone out the next day. Three days later and the phone was still not fixed. We continued to call. You finally get someone and they say not to worry we will get you help. They take all of the information and then tell you that they can't help but someone will call you back. They take his money for a phone line that does not work and they have no intention of sending someone to fix it.

I have contacted American Broad Band Telecommunications several times to have my grandparents line repaired. Currently they are (grandparents) without phone service. Every time I called no one answers, I have left voice messages which haven't been returned. I have also called the so called "Emergency line repair" also received no response. I have provided all necessary information such as my name, relationship to account holder, my phone number, my grandparents account number, their address, and their nonworking phone number. If my grandparents were to have an emergency, they don't have a phone to call anyone so we would probably find them dead due to them not being able to call for help. This is absolutely unacceptable. Their phone service goes out all of time but is usually fixed in less than a week. This time however no one has fixed it or returned a phone call. My grandmother has serious health issues and needs a phone to call for help. Do you realize that they live in the middle of nowhere and if one were able to, they would have to drive to a neighbor's house to call for help. In an emergency time is valuable it could save a life. If American Broadband and Telecommunications can't keep up with their service, they need to sell to a local phone company. This is a safety hazard.Acct. # ****** *************************** ********************************************************************* ************

They carry our home phone and it has been out more than it is working. ******* actually comes to repair the line when they do. When you call them they keep kicking me to an answering machine and hanging up. This has been going on for years. I live in a dead zone so I have to get in my vehicle and leave the home to call out on a cell phone! Hence the reason for having a land line! I have had numerous problems and reported ******* when they had our land line! This is crazy. I live in a rural area and need my phone due to my husbands health!!!!! If I need to call 911 am i supposed to get in my truck and leave the property to call them!
