    ***** Kidder was paid $1400 on 6/26/22 as half payment for deck repair and staining and some interior painting. On 6/28/22 he began the job, but used the wrong color stain and didn't discuss with us until it was already applied outside the back door. At that point, we had him continue since it was too dark to change. However, he only applied a partial coating and not at all in some places. For instance, our front deck is half finished, which looks ridiculous. Another porch he didn't touch at all. The rest is completely uneven and we would have been better off had he never touched anything. None of the boards were repaired. We will need to have all the work redone. Since it has been 4.5 months, we don't know if there will be an unevenness due to weathering between the new and old work. We don't even know what stain brand or color he used. This has been a disaster. ***** kept saying he was waiting for stain, weather, etc. But we always had to reach out to him. Now he has stopped responding all together.
