    Invoice#: L-*****-041 On November 29th, university *********************************************** brought my belongings from their facility. The prior week before, they charged us $1300 to closeout the account. Then added an additional month of storage fees after delivery. All my items were never delivered. We are still missing items, to date. Amongst the items delivered, there were damaged items. I took pictures and submitted a claim, as the company told me, and we have not yet resolved this issue. University *********************************************** continues to give me the run around. I paid this company well over $10,000, over 3 years. We just want our missing items, or compensation for them.

    University Moving and Storage was hired to complete our move from ************, ** to ***********, ** on 7/21/23.The entire process of working with them has been an ongoing nightmare since that date, but to keep this direct, I will focus only on one of the issues for this complaint. Additional complaints will be filed for further aspects if University Moving and Storage is unable to resolve this.As stated, this complaint is only for one aspect; which is the washer and dryer and corresponding pedestals.These were damaged to the point of being unusable.An assessor was finally sent out to examine them on 8/1 and he confirmed the damage to be extensive, due to the movers, and that it was unsafe to attempt to operate them so we would not be able to until they were fully repaired.The assessor confirmed nearly immediately that the information was sent to the correct person handling the issue for University Moving and Storage and that we needed to await further contact from University Moving and Storage with details of how they would proceed.Since then, we have attempted to make contact with University Moving and Storage a few times a week. All of our calls are sent to voicemail. Voicemails have been left.We have also been emailing repeatedly. They have not answered any emails either.** NOTE: this complaint has also been filed with the local branch which was directly responsible for these issues. This additional complaint is being filed against the corporate office for their neglect and lack of commitment to even respond to requests for their intervention or oversight of the local issue.

    All claims are handled at the corporate level by North American *** Lines. We have been in contact with them regarding this incident and they advised they are working on taking care of this situation with the customer and the customer has been contacted.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

    The matter remains unresolved and passing the buck on to someone else does not absolve your business of wrongdoing. 

    It also certainly does nothing to push for a resolution any faster.
