  the worst human being i have ever met. gave a $2000 deposit Jan 2022 with promise to deliver *** of 2022. **** was sweet as apple pie, what a nice guy at order time. *** came no boat guard cover , June , no boat guard cover. July no cover . **** initially took my calls and was a nasty man, total opposite of the day he took the order, and made the i'm a little behind story. Then stopped answering calls, would not answer texts, VM always full. Here it is almost August and no ****, no cover no money.

  I originally had a April 10th install day with ****************. I live in ******** and he lives on lake ****** in **************. A very very wealthy lake. I drove from ******** to ************** to install ***************** cover and he wasn't there and neither was his boat. So I called him. He was in ******* and said he wouldn't be back for another 10 days. He demanded I come back then. I told him I had covers lined up for the next several weeks and said I would try to work him in as soon as I can. Planning nation wide travel isn't that easy. You have to line up installs down and back to make it cost effective. He didnt like that so he became a very spoiled entitled rich person. He called and texted every day and talked to me like I was the household staff. After about 30 days of his constant badgering I grew tired of him. I told myself if he does that to me again tomorrow I'm sending his deposit back to him and canceling his order. He did it again the next day so I sent his deposit back. When he recieved he was not happy about it. He pretty much told me you dont deny a man like me. Then he texted me a few of the stories he was going to tell about me and my company. So I had to block his number from my phone. I have pictures of the check I wrote to send back his deposit and the envelope I sent it in. I also have a copy of the cancelled check from my bank when he cashed it.To tell you a little bit about our covers They fit any size pontoon boat. You can cover and uncover your entire boat in 30 seconds. You can see our covers at theboatguard.com. We have been selling them for 12 years all over the country and have done over ****. Our customers are our biggest sales people. We sold completely out of cover frames this year as we have the last 4 years.. Our customers tell us before having our cover they only used thier boat 2 or 3 times a year because they hated snapping on thier cover. Now they can use it everytime they want to. One lady told us if it takes you 20 minutes to snap on a cover your not going to go for a 20 minute ride. But if you can put your cover on in 30 seconds you'll go on a 5 minute ride. Another customer told us the value in your cover is how much you get to use your boat. One guy loved the cover so much he friended us on ******** and would send us a picture everytime he went out on his boat. He said last year I only used my boat twice because I didn't want to cover it. This year I've been on it every day.. Keep In mind folks happy customers don't leave reviews on the bbb website. We've done over **** covers and I think we have 4 or 5 complaints here. I think it speaks much more about them than it does us. ****-5=2995. I think we're still doing pretty good. With regards to **************** I was such a sweet guy in the beginning. What happened to me to turn me into this horrible person. Maybe it was him that happened to me. Think about it folks.

  Boat Guard covers are fantastic. We love ours and would recommend them. HOWEVER - it is impossible to reach the owner for repairs. Ours was damaged in a storm. I can only say that I hope if he is unable to maintain this business, that he will sell it to someone who can. This is a great product!

  We bought a pontoon boat cover from The Boat Guard. The owner is ***************************. He told us that there was a five-year warranty on his boat cover before we purchased it from him. We received the cover and installed it on our boat. Two days after the boat cover was installed there was a 10-minute rain. There were approximately 3 gallons of water that had collected in the front area of the cover. The cover is designed to allow the water to run off. On this new cover, the water just sat there, which would greatly shorten the life of the cover.We called *************************** and he refused to honor his warranty on our cover. This was very upsetting. This is a man that doesnt stand behind his word. This is a dishonest person, and we will not deal with him again. If you buy a boat cover from him and he tells you that you have a five-year warranty, the warranty is non-existent. If there is a problem with your cover, it will not be fixed or replaced.
