DO NOT HIRE- ******************* did not complete the job and did not pull permits BEFORE work was started. When I questioned the work completion, *********************** threatened a lien on the home - lied about state law and the 30-day rule (twice), and then told me the house was unsafe (contradicting his business partner *****), made code mistakes according to the inspector, and was generally condescending and rude to me as the client.Details: They were hired to rewire, they didn't rewire the 1st floor at all, just replaced all the outlets.I told him he needed to make it right. That's when ***** offered me a discount on the contract since item 1 was not complete. I told him it should be a significant discount because rewiring was the sole reason I hired him. He returned my key, did not clean up the drop ceiling mess they made and left. Monday, *** 15th they sent a new invoice with a $500 discount. I scheduled a second electrician to confirm what work had been completed and to confirm the discount was fair (appt was *** 24).Tues, *** 23 at 8am, ****** from ******************* LLC reached out to me about final payment that was due *** 25th. He threatened me with a lien on the property if I didnt pay by *** 30 AND to tell the city inspector that the bonding issue is a safety issue that prevents my mother from living in her house.Wed, *** 24 - I contacted city inspection to check his work and found no permit had been filed. He filed one AFTER I asked him for the permit #.On Wed, June 7th city inspector came. ****** insisted the new outlet they installed posed a life safety issue but the inspector told him it wasnt an issue. ****** offered $1000 off original contract. Inspector found two outlets were not up to code. ******************* installed 3-prong outlets where there was no ground wire. I pointed out that had he actually rewired the house as I hired him to do, it would not have been an issue. ****** offered an additional $200 off so he wouldnt have to return. DO NOT HIRE!
