*** Snowden took over 2 1/2 years to build a garage/pool house for us. He refused to give us a sworn statement at the beginning of the project. We had to hire lawyers to finally receive it. Unfortunately, we had already given him a large sum of money to start to project or we wouldve backed out and not have worked with him. At the end of the project, once he received his final payment he failed to finish a lot of expensive line items. Garage door opener has never worked from day one, he is refusing to fix it or handle the #Warranty issues. Cement all over exterior doors. Large cracks in the ceiling that were never fixed by the drywaller as well as unfinished paint jobs on interior doors and interior walls. I have 70 photos of poor quality of work and unfinished items that he said he would take care of. Large electrical line, not properly buried to code. *** had his workers undo the electrical line so the township would not realize it was not done correctly so they could get it passed upon inspection when the inspector came out. When they left, they reattached it above ground against code. We have reached out at least a dozen times to have these issues resolved along with our lawyer and have dealt with nothing but an unprofessional manner. This is literally just the tip of the iceberg of what we have been dealing with. We would just like things finished as they were promised to us before this project even started.

    Business Response

    Dear *****************,

We were truly saddened to receive notice of your complaint made to the BBB. We have reviewed the information shared in your complaint. I wanted to respond and address the items mentioned, and can try to provide some additional detail. I noticed that there appears to be some conflicting information so it is my hope that providing this additional background information will be helpful and provide some clarification on the items mentioned.

While the construction of your pool house did not extend to a period of 2.5 years as stated, you would be correct to say that it took a significantly long time to complete which was due to a large number of different factors. Out of respect, we will not go into much more detail as it would not be of any benefit or value to anyone, nor change the situation. Regardless, I am sure you would agree it was all quite unfortunate, and I trust that we are of the same mind in that it was certainly not a positive experience for either side.

To clarify regarding the sworn statement, we can confirm that you were provided with a copy of this when requested. It was explained that first we required proof of funds from your bank. This was requested on multiple occasions but never provided. After many weeks of nonpayment and receipt of the requested proof of funds, against our better judgement, we fulfilled the request and continued to move forward with the project. Unfortunately, as you likely recall, things seemed to continue downhill from there and, yes, we then solicited an attorney to assist with collecting overdue payment and act as the conduit for all future communications. After that time, all future sworn statements were shared directly through the attorney.

We can confirm that everything was indeed completed on the Pool House project per the contract and a certificate of occupancy was issued by **************** 6/5/23. On 2/20/24 you did reach out via email with a list of questions/comments. We replied the following day, 2/21/24 and provided the necessary information to help you proceed through the proper channels. Of your 70 photos, we had previously reviewed and addressed every individual photo/item in detail with the attorneys. While it was determined that a large number of photos were quite old, taken early in the construction process, and thus not an accurate or current representation, we did ensure that any and all applicable punch list-related items were taken care of at that time. Rest assured that we did take hundreds of detailed photos at the end of the project to ensure we had a detailed visual record of the completed project.

As stated, we can confirm that everything was completed per our contract for your pool house project. We understand that there was later some additional work requested to be completed on some of your existing pool equipment and had offered to connect you directly with *************** if you wanted to hire him to do this for you. We truly feel that we have acted with the utmost professionalism despite the many challenges and undue stress; I am sorry if you feel otherwise and that this has been a point of contention for you. Regardless of what has transpired and all that we both endured throughout this project, we are truly disappointed that your family's experience was anything less than terrific. We did everything we could in this situation and at the end of the day, unfortunately, it was not enough. Even still, we wish you all the best!
