I hired Hillbilly Tree Service to cut down some trees at our cabin in November. In the process they knocked down my neighbor's power line and caused other damage to their home which came to a total of $2,207 in repairs. ***** and ****, owners of Hillbilly ************* told my neighbor that it would be easier for them to pay her directly than to file an insurance claim. The promised payment date passed two weeks ago. She needed the money for the repairs so I sent her a check covering the cost. Hillbilly Tree Service has not returned any phone calls or texts from either my neighbor or myself regarding the the payment.

They were paid $3500 to do a job, that they said they would finish but have failed to do. They gave my wife and I and estimate of $2500 to cut down trees. When I left to help my dad, **** complained to my wife they had underbid the job and she agreed to give them $3500. At te end of the day, they had one tree left and would be back to finish. My wife paid them and then we had to call **** a couple more times to finish the job. He came back after dark cut the tree down, the next day we realized it was in the neighbors yard. We called and **** confirmed they would remove the tree. I have contacted them 4 times since then and received excuses. The have failed to finish the job they were paid for.

Just bought a home several months ago. Had 3 estimates from tree companies for removal of numerous ************* grinding. This company bragged about being number 1 on ****** & the complaints from other people saying they leave the job undone, were told to us that those stories were made up by jealous competitors. NOT TRUE.We requested the business license and insurance, to be in compliance with our homeowners. They had many excuses for not providing the license, but did give ins proof. They left our yard a total wreck and stuff everywhere. They were sloppy and unprofessional and brought 2 toddlers on the job barefoot who waded in and out of chainsaws and grinders. One wandered into the street. CPS has been contacted. As soon as we gave them $3500 cash, they walked off the job. They are 100% unprofessional and unknowledgeable. They even left a tree half down standing after being notched, UNTIL 2 DAYS LATER. Dangerous company. They tore out a cable wire and pretended to fix it, but didn't. Now we have to pay our cable company to come back out and do it. And we hired another company to come in and finish the job they wouldn't. This company presents a clearly dangerous potential of serious damage - whether it be a human life or otherwise. . . and liability to EVERY homeowner and needs to be investigated fully.
