The BBB contacted Bird Buddy during the month of September 2022 regarding receipt of two complaints where consumers alleged participating in the crowdsourcing of this venture and not receiving timely updates on the status of their orders. Bird Buddy provided the BBB the following update on 9/ 29/2022. 

Bird Buddy is a crowdfunded project that launched on Kickstarter in November 2020, got funded last year in February 2021, and has been in development for the past 19 months. Both during our Kickstarter and Indiegogo sales and on our web store later, we've clearly communicated that the product is not yet ready for shipping. Throughout the development phase, we've provided regular (monthly or more frequent) updates to all our customers, offering insight into the behind-the-scenes processes and notifying them of any issues and delays as they were happening. These updates are shared with all existing customers via email notifications and can also be found on our official blog page.
In September 2022, we shared a fulfillment schedule that we're currently on track with; we shipped out the first 50 units last week, on 22 September, and will continue with weekly shipments, clearing all backlog by the end of November. We have a shipping schedule article available on our support page, and we regularly update it with the latest information as it comes in. Our support agents also answer specific order-related questions via email (to [email protected]) if the customers reach out to them. All customers are eligible for a full, no-questions-asked refund before their order is dispatched; we have issued a full refund to all customers that requested one through an email to [email protected], via a DM to our social media platforms, or on our crowdfunding channels.
