We found an ad on Hoobly for a Doberman puppy. We reached out and were told there were 3 females and we were told we would get pick of the litter but had to wait until about 4 weeks old. When that time came, we were sent a pic of 1 female and were told several puppies died of an "infection", of which he would not elaborate. We went ahead and said okay because we really did not know any better. We went to his house to see her. At this point we signed some papers and gave a $900 deposit ($200 for the pup and $700 for ear cropping). Looking back at that situation, we should never had went ahead with the sale. We were not allowed to see where the puppies were contained and the house was dirty. We were supposed to get our puppy on Nov 5th. On Nov 4th, he sent a text and pictures of the puppy. He had taken off the badges from her ears and ripped off part of her ear and the ears are all infected.I told him she had to go to the vet but that we would like our money back. He said we could have a male or wait on another litter. I told him neither were options we wanted. He said that is the ************ we have.I would like my $900 back and I want his business checked out. This is unsanitary and unsafe for these puppies or any future puppies.
