      Subject: Complaint Against Zeal Credit Union for ********************* Fees and Misinformation Dear ***/*****,I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to file a formal complaint against Zeal Credit Union regarding a distressing situation my family has been facing. For the past several months, we have been charged insurance fees that we believe are unjustified, and we have been misled about the entity responsible for these charges. We are deeply concerned about the financial burden this has placed upon us, as we are already struggling to make ends meet.The issue began approximately 4 months ago when we noticed additional charges on our account statements from Zeal Credit Union. When we inquired about these charges, we were informed by the customer service representatives, including ***************** *********************, ****************** that the additional fees were being imposed by **** Financial. However, upon reaching out to ************** directly, we were informed that we are not their customers, and therefore they have no grounds to levy any charges against us. This left us bewildered and frustrated as to why we were being charged these fees without any valid explanation.We have diligently contacted Zeal Credit Union since March, both through phone calls and emails, seeking clarification and resolution to this matter. Unfortunately, each interaction has been unproductive and left us with conflicting information. The stress caused by this ongoing situation has taken a toll on our family's well-being, and the prospect of this continuing for another ten months, as we have been informed, is deeply troubling and unfair.As responsible account holders, we maintain full coverage insurance, and there is no legitimate reason for these additional insurance fees to be imposed on us. It is apparent that Zeal Credit Union has taken advantage of our situation, placing a significant financial burden on our already strained financial circumstances.Due to our financial constraints, we are unable to afford legal representation, making it even more challenging for us to seek proper recourse for this unjust treatment. We are reaching out to the Better Business Bureau in the hope that your esteemed organization can mediate on our behalf and help resolve this matter fairly and swiftly.We kindly request that the Better Business Bureau investigates this matter thoroughly and facilitates a resolution that ensures the immediate cessation of these unwarranted insurance fees and an appropriate refund of the fees already charged. We also seek assurance from Zeal Credit Union that they will be transparent and honest in their communications with customers going forward, avoiding such misleading practices.Thank you for your attention to this matter. We appreciate any assistance and guidance you can provide to help alleviate the financial burden imposed upon us by Zeal Credit Union.       On February 10th Zeal Credit Union took money from my account and paid my husband loan account his account for his loan is not the same account number as mine. Since they took the **** I have now established several overdraft fees on my account. My husband had spoken to **** and made arrangements for his account to be paid on the 17th of February. My husband was added to my account as a authorized person not joint account due to the fact I was not able to cash our tax check. He has no money going into my account. They will not correct it.

      I have sent my car payment in for December 2022, January 2023 and February 2023 . The checks have not been cashed yet. The February payment was even sent so they had to sign to get it.

      I have an auto loan account with ****. I no longer have a checking/savings so they have locked me out my online account to make my auto payments and I have to call every month. For the last 8 months I have not been able to get a old of any representatives. I am always holding for over an hour then transferred to leave a message. I do not receive callback in a timely matter and when they do call back my payment are always reported late. This is very frustrating. As a customer for over 14 years going this last year has been a terrible experience dealing with ****. This is an internal issue that needs to be resolved. It has affected my credit and my peace of mind. This is unacceptable customer service.

      I acquired zeal as my auto lender in 2021, months later ( June 2021) I changed auto insurance carriers. September 2021 zeal noted I no longer carried insurance and I have been told they attempted to reach me. ( how I am not sure ) From december 2021 until February of 2022 I attempted to get in contact with lending. February 2022 I was able to get in contact with lending and submitted documentation of having carried insurance the entire course of my loan to date. The lending agent I spoke with confirmed it was correct documentation and no further action was needed. March of 2022 my credit report is showing nearly 50% interest on my loan and an addition ******* of principle. I again reached out to zeal, the lending agents have been in no hurry to respond to voice-mail since day one. After speaking with FOUR lending agents the correct documentation was acquired directly through my insurance. And told I would be reimbursed for funds. Now nearly May of 2022. The cb is still receiving information from zeal that I have defaulted on my loan because I refuse to pay additional fees and interest on money I do not owe. Which all could had been avoided had the agents reviewed the documents in detail. Requested additional documents and been in consistent contact with me. Furthermore I believe that as a person who has never missed a payment, and has openly requested information on how to log in to zeals accounts and better monitor my loan I am at a disadvantage on being treated fairly because the business agents representing zeal will not take the time to help educate and provide honest information! I would like my credit report to be a reflection of my unhinged honest borrowing!

      i went to buy something at the store dident go through. i called the bank and thay said it was a fraud charge. i informed them it wasent and thay went to fix it. then thay call back saying my cards stolen and or lost. mind you i have the card on me so it wasent makeing sence ao i asked for a manager. thay hung up and so i called back and tryed to get ahold of them for 3 hours finally to talk to a really rude manager bacically saying we cant help you you lost your account and all your money to bad. so now im stuck struggling to get everything canceled and onto a new account so i dont lose my paycheck or get fees for my bills if there not payed. thay refuse and explanation or anything i just want my money and account back

      I received this complaint on 2/18/2022 and followed up with our card department and member services. This matter was resolved on 2/11 and a new card was issued. There is no further issues on the with this account and the matter has been resolved.
