1 starUsed this service for an unexpected weekend need. The tech was aware we needed the issue resolved and did so in a timely manner (less than 1 hour). I requested a detailed invoice for the work completed. I received an invoice that only indicated the total amount without a breakdown of costs. I was concerned about the high bill and asked about any additional charges for weekends or overtime rates. The person acknowledged there were no extra fees, however, I was still surprised by the price. When I the requested a detailed invoice from their office showing the costs for each job done, the representative kept sending me the same invoice without the breakdown. I am three emails in and have still not received the requested information, outside of "we may be higher than our competitors but we guarantee our work". Well most do guarantee their work and still do not charge excessively high rates. The bill was paid, so it is alarming that the company would not provide the requested information.Review fromAhmad Z

1 starBeware of this company , First off the service prices are not listed. When they come out to do the job they nickel and dime you . I was charged $290 dollars to cut a 4 by 4 hole in the drywall which took around 10 min to do so secondly I was charged $80 dollar to remove 2 inch brass cap which took maybe 10 minutes as well . Ran a camera though my main to make sure I didnt have any issues inside my pipes which I was charged $339 and also ran a snake to unclog my kitchen issue . The problems I experienced are listed below Being charged to remove a 2 inch brass cap is ridiculous because anyone who comes to do service is going to need the cap removed or cut off and replaced with a rubber cap. Ive had other homes snaked in the past by different companies and was never charged a fee to do this . Secondly , being charged or even considering charging someone twice for a camera inspection on the same day is pure greed and not justifiable They tried to charge me twice because I had them run the camera where my issue was and to run the camera through my main line . Which is less than 10 ft from the work area .If your paying for the service a full camera inspection it should include anything inside the homes main to the city tap. Thirdly , being charged $290 dollars to cut a 4 by 6 hole in drywall to reveal a clean out . Which I couldve just done myself is very unethical. I paid for a snake service for 1 line $289 which was advertised little cheaper but thats all right not gonna cry over few dollars for that. I called the company to voice my concerns and find out if I was billed correctly or if any of these fees were just B.S to make some extra money . I was routed to a supposedly supervisor who sounded Incompetent and just tried to justify everything. I could tell within 10 min of speaking with him his moral compass does not point north . He was all about nickel and Diming people and trying to maximize his employees commissions of the bill .Review fromNorma J

Terrible. I paid for Rotorooter $2300 for a 3 day job. They charged me an addition $2700 and it was a 10 day job. Our dining room was blocked off. We had to go out our front door to the kitchen and back everytime we wanted a meal for 10 days. If we knew that before hand other arrangements could have been made. They did 1/2 the job and said they were coming the next day: They did not come back until 7 days later. We missed celebrating my Mom's 93rd birthday and Christmas. I don't know that that level of ineffectiveness could be so thorough or do they just treat people in ******* this way.Roto Rooter

Good Morning
Roto Rooter in fact did charge$ ******** for the initial scope. The customer also knew it was going to take 3 days to do the demo, cleaning and drying of the structure. We found additional damage to the ceiling and that was an additional cost of $ ********. Customer did agree to the additional scope. The work did not take 10 days to do. This was a holiday and the 10 days accounts for the weekend. We do not work on weekends unless it is an emergency. We did the scope of work to satisfaction and we have a certificate of satisfaction for completion of the job.

Last night I found that my storm drain in the basement began to have water rise up. I contacted Roto-Rooter to have someone come out same day. They were not able to come out until the next day. I contacted the **************** but someone from the ************** came out. They proceeded to snake the sewer ************ line ($336) and sewer drain ($200) on the floor. They advised me that there was an issue with the trap and that it may needed to be replaced, but they needed to use a water jet to clear out the roots and put a camera down there and that the replacement would be about $5000 because of excavation work. I had them do the jet and camera to see what was going on upon which they indicated (once they returned with the equipment) that my sewer tap had broken. They showed me in the camera and it was not the best of images but they indicated it would be $9500 to $10,000 and what they had done would be a temp fix. The tech (******) indicated it would be at best a week. I paid a that time $2161 as they took $336 off, because of the services I had. $336 for one line, $200 for drain and $1625 for the camera and hydro jet.I contacted my insurance to file a claim and they sent plumber out same day for a second opinion. They sent a better camera down that showed it was only roots. They cleared all of it and saw the sewer tap was not broken and was surprised that Roto-Rooter was not able to clear it with he water jet or snake it and cut the roots up. When the second plumber was done he sent the camera down showing a clear sewer line right to the tap. I feel that I was severely over charged for services rendered and that scare tactics were used to get additional funds from me to commit to an excavation for something that was not broken. I spoke to Mr. ***** on 3/2/23 and set up an apointment for us to meet him at his property to reinspect his sewer at no cost to him. Mr. ***** was nice enough to meet us there. We did another camera inspection with the customer and we showed him that his sewer is damaged/cracked around the tap area and he agreed. Mr. ***** was given incorrect information from the other plumbing contractor that his insurance company sent out. Mr. ***** is now completed and he is aware of what needs to be done next. Thank you.Review fromS. K.

Good Afternoon Roto Rooter provided clean up services and dry down. The worked performed was sent with an itemized list of worked performed to the insurance company. The insurance company had agreed and paid in full to the insured. The insured sent in a complaint to our corporate office. Our managers tried to address the situation and was denied. We offered to come back to the home and access the complaint and fix the complaint. We were denied entry. As of today we have been paid. We are still willing to re clean the alleged areas.Anything else you need we are willing to take care of.Thank YouS. K.

$300 down the drain literally. On 9/14 we called about water back up in a basement and had a repairman on 9/15. He could not find the problem and did not know where to start. The solution he offered was expensive and completely wrong. His solution was to drill the floor and look if there is a problem. It would cost us $5,000+ and will leave a mess in a finished basement . They offered to clean for extra money. He did not have camera to take a look first. Since it did not sound right we called ********************************* to validate. They came prepared, used a camera and found an issue in a completely different place. It was fixed the next day and it was clogged pipe from the kitchen sink. I would never again call the roto-rooter again. I am not sure what training their employee get, but it was not enough. We not only had to pay for unnecessary service, but had to take time off from work. I would give them 0 star if that option was available .Roto Rooter
