  on 05/17/24 i went to ****'s to get the brush guard on my truck fixed. i needed to have the right side welded in 3 spots and we talked about straightening a bar on the same side. i asked for a ball-park figure on the repair i was told it would be around $80.00 and to come back on Friday later that week. So today i went and after the repair was done i went to collect the truck. the cost of the repair was $195.00 and they did not straighten the bar like they said they would. i took the truck and called them to argue about the bad work and the new higher cost. i was told no one said they said $80.00. They also left the bar in the same position without fixing. Then to cap it all off i was told that it was my fault for any of the problems.

  There seems to have been some confusion on what was quoted.  The customer was given a verbal hourly rate quote, not a total quote for the project.  We spoke about straightening out the brush guard but were only directed to weld it, as straightening out the brush guard would have required cutting the unit apart and having the truck in our shop for more than a day.  We charged the customer our hourly rate multiplied by the number of hours it took to repair the right side of his brush guard.  We are happy to discuss the matter further, if need be.
