    February 18, 2024 I started on conversations with Lake Effect Upholstery about re-upolstering our pontoon boat, picked out fabric and sent a deposit on March 14, 2024 in the amount of $2,681.46. ******* said it would take a couple of months to complete and did not mention that she had anyone scheduled before us. I checked back at least once a month or more to see how the work was progressing but each time she had a new excuse for not starting the work. On May 18th when I inquired she said my boat would be started the next week and would take her a week to a week and a half to complete. On June 13th, now 3 weeks later, she still had not started the boat. Finally on June 15th I canceled the work and said I want the boat back now to enjoy the Summer. We planned to just bring the boat to her in the Fall for her to complete over the winter but now we are hearing many negative complaints about the quality of her work. I requested a full refund which ******* refused because she purchased the fabric. I said fine, keep the deposit and just give us the fabric. She again refused. My next step is to dispute the charge with my credit card company for services not performed.

First, I apologize for the delays, and I'm sad to hear you got poor feedback from others, unfortunately our timelines just didn't line up and I understand that is extremely frustrating for you! I would be happy to give you the purchased fabric, I misunderstood your proposal and would be absolutely happy to provide you with the fabric. I hope you can get your boat done to your liking and enjoy your summer! Unfortunately, though our deposits are non-refundable. Please feel free to get the fabric at any time, and we can mend the situation at hand!
