    On September 20th, 2024, I spoke with ***** about getting a cake made for our wedding on June 7th, 2025. I placed an order and paid the full amount owed of $355. On February 6th, I called and left a message for ***** or ***** (the manager) to call me back so I could ask about updating my order to a bigger cake. No one returned my call. On Monday, February 10th, I left another message asking for a call back. On February 12th, I tried calling again with still no answer. I left another voicemail stating I wished to cancel my order due to the lack of customer service and follow through from the business. I still have not received a call from the company and I dont even know if they are still in business. I live an hour and a half away from this bakery and I was told in my initial conversation that it was acceptable to place and make updates via telephone. I am concerned this business has accepted my money with no intention of providing or delivering my wedding cake. I have read through multiple reviews stating similar situations have happened to other customers with no explanation from the company.

    We received notification of a complaint filed by a customer regarding communication for a wedding cake order placed in September 2024.   Per our sales policy, we were to have a written request for any changes to the order, but we always strive to communicate at least verbally with customer to address any concerns they may have.


    The individual who handled the transaction was, unfortunately, out with Covid.  Upon her return, she promptly issued a refund.   We understand events, such as a wedding, can heighten concerns and sensitivities for such an important occasion.  We have an outstanding reputation and pride ourselves with handling situations to effect a positive outcome.  


    We apologize for any delay the customer felt were caused by our staff member's illness and offer our superlative services in the future should there be an opportunity.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.


    While I am still NEVER going to do business with them again or suggest this company to others, the bakery did finally reach out to me this morning and refunded my full amount I paid for the cake. I believe this complaint can be closed; however, based on recent reviews from other consumers, this is not an acceptable business due to their great lack of professionalism and customer service. In short, they do not provide what consumers are paying for and that is a problem worth addressing.
