    Recently the apartment complex in which I have lived for the past 15 plus years was bought by The Choice Group, LLC. For 3 months I have attempted to learn how the new ownership of the apartment complex would effect my upcoming lease renewal, to no success. Finally, barely a month before my current lease expires, they tell me that (1) rent for my apartment unit is nearly doubling (2) I have to submit an application to qualify to continue to rent my current residence (3) I am required to pay a $50 non-refundable application fee with the application, with no guarantee that they will approve that application even though I have a 15 year rental history with the previous owners of the apartment complex. (4) even though the apartment complex was a relatively lower priced community, the previous owners kept the place well maintained. In the nearly 4 months since Choice Group bought it, the property has become looking like a slum tenement. The hallways have not been cleaned in months, the landscape has become overgrown, Abandoned furniture from tenants forced to move on short notice left sitting on the property for weeks.... From what I have experienced with Choice Group LLC treatment of the tenants of this newly acquired property, they show no intent beyond being slum lords! *************************
