    This issue started when I was directed to use the company at fault - Michiana Pool Safety - ****************************************** In 2003 I purchased a brand new safety pool cover from Meyco Products - ****************************************************Over the past ******************************************************************************** that when I need the cover replaced, I have to contact ************ will put me in touch with a "Meyco" dealer. The dealer ***** directed me to use is Michiana Pool Safety After speaking to ****** *******, the owner of Michiana Pool Safety, through both phone ************** I agreed to an exceptionally high replacement cover cost & sent a signed purchase agreement & a check for $2,300 to Michiana Pool Safety on August 6th. On August 12th the owner, ******, responded to my email to confirm that he received the ********* confirmed with my bank that the check was cashed on August 12, 2024. ******, the owner, confirmed that the projected delivery date of the cover would be September 24, 2024. On September 24, 2024 I was told that the new delivery date would now be between October 7th & October 18th. On October 2, 2024 I received an email stating that the manufacturer ***** had been hit by hurricane ********** delivery of the cover was going to be "significantly" delayed. On October 21, 2024 ****** informed me that I need to put my old cover on as there wasn't an update from the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer ***** directly myself & was informed that they were down less than a ************ production was back up & running but they could not/would not confirm an order for my pool cover was ever placed by Michiana Pool Safety. I was told I had to talk with the "dealer" only. I sent MPS an email on October 24, 2024 stating that I spoke with ************** directly & that is when his responses to me stopped. ****** will not return any phone calls or emails from me or ***** Products as I call both *********** daily.

    This doesn't make sense to close this case because this ***** didn't respond. How is this helpful in anyway? This business steals my money, I report it to try to gain a resolution, he doesn't answer the phone and that's it? You just close the case as if the incident doesn't exist?

    The person has admitted to just taking my money, lying to me about the product being ordered & just keeping the money. I understand this is not a government agency but for me to make a claim with all my included proof of a poor business practice & you just roll over & say "well, he didn't answer the phone so I guess it didn't happen."

    What an absolute JOKE!!

    Thanks for absolutely NOTHING!!!

    The pool cover for ****** ******** was completed and shipped out Via Fed Ex on 12/4/2024. The pool cover had a Signature Required to be delivered. On 12/6/2024 ****** ******** received the pool cover Via Fed Ex and we received his Signature and the package was released to him. There is a remaining balance of $581 that is due. Once that payment is paid by ****** ******** the remaining balance will be satisfied and we will close this file. ****** ******** stated in his email to us "That he has no issue paying the remaining balance of $581 once he receives the pool cover." We will send an update once we receive his payment.

    I am rejecting this response because:

     

    While the item I paid for several months ago showed up at my residence last week, there is no way to confirm this product actually fits the application. It is IMPOSSIBLE to install a winter pool cover when the current safety cover is covered in snow.

    Check the weather, we just got 3"+ of wet snow & it's currently 16 degrees outside.

    This piece of s*** should have just delivered what he promised before he admitting to never ordering the cover after he accepted my payment. This admission is in the initial honest complaint.

    This business tried to take advantage of me & tried to steal my money until I hounded him nearly daily & had to threaten showing up at his home to retrieve either my cover or my full refund.

    This person is a lying scumbag & I will not relinquish this complaint at any level.

    Potential consumers should know whom they're dealing with if they choose to use this company for their "services."

    I ordered a Meyco pool cover from Michiana Pool Safety and paid by check on 10/26/2023. Installation was supposed to be included in the price.****** had convinced me that I should order my replacement winter cover from him since he is a Meyco dealer and it would match the the old mounting anchors. He came to install the cover on December 27, 2023 (it was a surprisingly nice day) . Unfortunately, the new cover did not match the old cover. ****** promised to return in the spring and install new anchors, but he never showed. He ignored my phone calls and contact requests from his website, so I had to do the work myself. I had to ****** a hammer drill, buy a $30 bit (which I gave to the drill owner in exchange for using his drill), and spend over 2 hours drilling holes in concrete...not much fun. I would like to be reimbursed for the bit and my time. I'm not sure what it would have cost me to hire a handyman for a couple of hours, but probably at least $25 an hour.

    I was given an estimate and paid in full for a baby gaurd pool fence. *************************** the owner has not returned any calls, voicemails, or emails since he cashed the check.

    Owner ****** did reach out to me via email and stated he would get the job done. The work was completed to my satisfaction on May 25th 2024.
