Hello *****,
we apologize for how you feel about our business, it is disheartening to know we made someone feel negatively toward us. Just to clear a few things up, insurance themselves refused to pay the storage fees for this vehicle in question. We did not try to scam, because most communication goes through insurance, not the client and insurance should always be keeping the client up to date on whether or not they are willing to pay for said vehicle since the checks are coming from insurance directly. Unfortunately when that did happen, we called your mother and explained the situation and had her come in to speak to us and see what we can do moving forward. We ended up putting a new door on the vehicle, so that it was functioning and your mother could safely drive the vehicle. Insurance refusing to pay was where the greying lines begin. When we spoke to your mother, she understood and said "I promise to pay". We informed her of the cost, wrote it down and highlighted it on the estimate. Despite our policy, that your mother signed and we have that on file, stating that we do not give a vehicle away without payment, we understood and empathized with her situation and the insurance confusion, and gave it to her anyways. We then received messages from your mother stating that it was not going to be paid. We have witnesses to the conversation stating that she said she "promises", and even despite her saying she will not pay, we have not taken any legal or any action at all towards this, because we understand the situation. We had no reason to believe she misunderstood or was unaware, because even with her witness there, everything at the end of the conversation was agreed upon and understood. Again, we apologize for the way things occurred, but she does have her vehicle and we have not sought out payment for said vehicle.
