We worked all winter to get our kitchen ready for countertops in spring before our grad party. We went to MJ Countertops and recieved a quote, we liked and style. That was beginning of March and we were set to have installed April 4th. Guys showed up, prepped a little, cut holes for faucet and brought counters in. They didn't ask for me to check and make sure everything looks good before gluing. After they almost finished I noticed a black spot right by sink. Countertop is white,, should not have black spots. He tried to cover up with glue and then told me his company would call and just ******* they ordered new pc but it didn't match. After me driving to ********* and ****** trying to find new color I found one and they told me I had to pay 300 more dollars. I told them no way, then they wanted me to pay the balance up front and would get me the new color. Bad business, don't go there!!

I was forced to be connected with MJs Countertops when I bought my countertops from ******. The first time MJ's came out to install my countertops, they cut my sinkhole wrong, cut another counter short so my cabinet sticks out from under it, and didn't glue down my countertops well (they lifted up after I checked them a week later). When I tried calling my MJ's Countertop rep to let them know I received no answer back. I guess he quit abruptly and my paperwork got lost in the shuffle. ***** later I got in touch with ***** from MJ's and he seemed like he cared for awhile. They came out 2 more times before my countertops were officially glued down correctly. ***** said they could fix the countertops that were cut wrong but were not willing to fix the sink or backsplash if they got broken in the process (the installer at MJ's said the sink would for sure break). ****** closed my account because ***** told them they finished the installation, yet here I sit with 2 countertops being cut wrong, ****** down my throat about payment, and having to argue with these guys myself to either get money knocked off my bill or my countertops installed correctly (including them replacing my sink and backsplash if they're broken during the re-installation of the countertops they installed incorrectly). I would never hire MJ's or ****** again. This has been a horrible experience that still isn't installed up to contract.

Previous worker, I accepted a job for salary from mjs. Only to work for them for the first pay period and be told that they didnt have room on their payroll to pay me legitimately. They were only willing to pay me cash for the first few weeks I had worked and they would work on making room for me on the payroll. Then by the next pay period they had informed me payroll was not an option and had a personal check made out to me( mind you the check was made out incorrectly and had to be given back to be reissued for the correct amount, which he was unable to do at that time and the check was written for $500 dollars less than the original. Only to be told that he didnt have enough money to pay me the rest for a few days. Now, days later, ownership is now avoiding my calls and messages. This company is a joke and I am unsure how they are still open when treating people this way. Side note, the company is run by almost all of the staff being illegal immigrants. The owner told me in one of our meetings when I disagreed with the way I was being paid/treated. And I quote this is why he doesnt hire white people/Americans.

This type of comments is so stereo typical because we started as a small family own company and now that business growing and progressing with most of our workers been Hispanic is unfair to our company because we pride our self on giving everyone an equal opportunity to work with us this type of comments that try to ruin companies shouldn't be allowed without proof of what your stating with that been said we apologize that you didn't feel welcome in our records we don't have anyone that worked with us under the information you provided we are a legitimate company with hard working employee and this type of action you accused the company of wrongfully doing we do not condone.

MJ is the worst company I have delt with in a long time. They at first never answered my calls. After the work was completed-i did not sign the authorization for payment to them from Ikea, because of the craftmanship and the things were not done as we had requested and paid for. After trying many times to contact them after the work was completed- I then tried getting ahold of Ikea-same thing. ** finally called me and said that they need to send two workers out to check on it. They came and said one side needs to be refabricated, and the other side needs to be grinded down-so my stove could slide in and out without damaging the quarts countertop. They said i would get a call- never did, I had to call them. Then they said a manager would call me right back-the manager called me and said she wanted to send more people out to look at it. She had no idea that 2 workers had looked at it a couple of days ago. Then after not hearing back from the manager, i called and left 3 voice messages. NOTHING. Then i get a call saying that the owner wanted to come out and look at it. On 10-15-22, a white truck shows up and the worker laughed at me when i said i was expecting the owner. They came in and we had a hard time communicating due to a language barrier. Ive tried 3 more times to get ahold of them- NO ANSWER. I don't trust them anymore as far as their craftmanship, and the way they conduct their business. I wanted some type of monetary settlement for the service and the product issues. Please help me resolve this issue.
