Purchased a vehicle October 2021. Vehicle was given a temporary plate. Never received permanent plates or registration papers. Contacted Carlson Toyota multiple times to find out what's the hold up, was told "these things take time". ******, their controller in the licensing department doesn't seem like she knows what she's doing and I don't know if anyone is trying to resolve the problem. Seems like they sold the vehicle without the ownership papers. My bank is asking for the Title. The car is basically useless because it has an expired temporary license plate (Nov. 2011) and legally, cannot be driven. Winter is coming soon and I will need to use the vehicle to get to work. Speaking with Carlson Toyota licensing and title department isn't working. I've left multiple phone messages that never was returned ( including one to *****, the manager back in July). We need a resolution soon! Been paying a loan on a car that has basically been sitting, waiting. Help!!

I bought my car on April 9th, 2022. I started noticing the engine jolting the end of June. I brought it in to Carlson Toyota on July 6th and they said there was nothing wrong and the jolting was normal. About 12 hours later a local mechanic looked at it and discovered that my Equinox is one of the ones that has the issues with burning too much oil. The mechanic had to put 3.5 quarts of oil in the engine. I wasn't even due for the first oil change. Per my warranty that Carlson Toyota made me buy when I bought my car, my ***** Equinox is a certified used car. I shouldn't have been able to buy a certified used car if there was an issue with the oil consumption, without them disclosing it. It would cost over $5,000 to get the issue with the burning oil fixed and it's not even a guaranteed that warranty would even cover it. I have twin infants, I trusted Carlson Toyota to sell me a car that would be safe for my babies. Something severely wrong could have gone wrong if I didn't bring it in to a different place. I have tried contacting Carlson Toyota for weeks and have not heard anything back from anyone.

    Hello,

Our service director has spoken with the consumer.  She will be bringing the vehicle into Carlson Toyota later this week.  The customer did purchase an extended warranty for the vehicle.  It was not sold as a "certified" vehicle.  The vehicle was sold "as is".  We can't sell other brands as "certified" vehicles.  The only "certified" vehicles we sell are Toyota's and they must have less than ****** miles per Toyota requirements.  Our service director will investigate the issue with the car and see if extended warranty will cover the repair.

    Thanks,

    ***** Carlson

I am rejecting this response because:

I have looked over all the paperwork and there isnt as is or any disclosures on the engine issue at all.
