As both an owner and a board member, I was disappointed with Community Association Group and would strongly discourage any associations from using CAG as your HOA management company. As noted in many other reviews, the attitude and tone that CAG uses to address our association members and board was rude, dismissive, unprofessional and condescending. The advice and services offered by CAG to our board were sub-par. They recommended vendors that delivered poor performance at exceptionally high prices. They failed to implement appropriate controls on pre-approval and appropriate billing support for vendor extra work which cost our association money. They recommended large capital projects that were poorly planned, executed and coordinated (while CAG contract allows them to charge the association up to 10% on those same projects). And they did not properly oversee their property managers even when concerns on these CAG employees were raised both by the board and owners. Given CAGs poor behavior throughout our contract, I anticipated that they would be uncooperative, execute the bare minimum during our notice period, and try to find any opportunity to further drain our associations accounts. Even with those low expectations, I was surprised by how unprofessionally CAG behaved in the last 4 months of our paid contract with them. This was not just staff at CAG, but their executives which demonstrates a lack of integrity, leadership and a pitiable tone-from-the top. It is obvious that CAG has no concern about their reputation in the community, and that they know that once an association leaves CAG they will never return. No management company is going to be perfect, but you should be able to expect accountability, professionalism, and to have your owners, residents and board members treated with respect. You will not get that with CAG.

Please delete this complaint and expunge from our file. This owner is a member of a non-profit corporation governed by a volunteer ***** of ********* who makes all the decisions. CAG does not sell or provide services directly to this owner, but rather facilitates business on behalf of the *****. Additionally, all vendor selections, projects and contracts are entered into and approved solely by the Associations ***** of *********. CAG and our staff have NO decision making authority in regards to vendor selection, projects undertaken or contracts entered into. As stated within our contract, CAG is not responsible for any third parties performance or lack thereof. Furthermore, disclosing details of a confidential contract, as is included in this review, is illegal. CAG disputes and denies all of the allegations included in this review. CAG fulfilled all of our contractual obligations professionally and thoroughly, including a timely transition of Association property.

CAG consistently uses this same reason for not having any reviews shown. CAG contract is with the association and is authorized by the board. Therefore, any association member should be allowed to file a complaint against CAG. CAG uses this as a threat and intimidation factor against all owners in associations they manage so that they are not held accountable for their service performance. With regard to their comment that it is illegal to disclose the terms of a contract, I am not aware of any laws that govern this in the absense of a signed NDA. Association members, per ** ****************** shall have access to all association records including contracts The reviewer did not sign any confidentiality agreements with CAG.
