We had a deck installed in the summer of 2020. It took a bit longer than expected but turned out wonderful. They told us they would come back and put a black trellis around the bottom to prevent animals from going under and making it look more complete. Ive called 4 times since the summer of 2020 to request a date for when it will be done. Ive left messages, never been called back or contacted about the work being completed. Weve already paid the full price. Theyre impossible to get a response from and avoid calling me back after numerous attempts. We just want it to be finished! After TWO YEARS its not much to ask to finish it up.Business response

Hello, we received your email regarding the complaint about a deck project we did. After a thorough review of their file and contract, we recognize that there is no mention of us doing a lattice or trellis in the contract. With that being said we have no obligation to do that work for no charge. Additionally, Missy our office manager did reach out to the homeowners last summer regarding this issue and we never herd back from them. I would be happy to attach a copy of the contract and any additional paperwork for this complaint.
Please let us know if you need any additional assistance in getting this matter settled.
Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:
If possible, itd be great if you could speak with *****. He has spoken to my husband multiple times when they cross paths at his place of work. ***** insists it will be completed (trellis and concrete crack fix). If this is not the case, he should not continue to promise this will be done. It probably isnt on the initial job paperwork as it was discussed after the initial deck project was completed. Again, a worker told us hed have a crew come back out and get it done in a few hours, 2+ years ago now. This is extremely disappointing.Business response

First of all in regards to the "crack" there never was a crack in the concrete, there was a void on the side of the slab. This is a small air pocket can can occur when concrete gets poured, it has nothing to do with the structure of the pad. Secondly, I have spoken to ***** and we can build a trellis. As you stated in your complaint you brought this matter up to ***** after the work in the original contract was completed. Once the work is completed we would not continue to just show up and build things that we are not contracted to do so. As I mentioned in the prior response, we would be happy to build you a large arching walk under trellis, we just need a contract and to be paid for it. Since as you admitted it is not in the contract you signed, we would not have built a trellis when we were out at your home building a deck because it was not contracted.
