Very disappointed in the ******** location! On August 6th we had a storm go through, being a CNA part time caregiver for an 83 year Vietnam vet, I was contacted by his 24 year old live in caregiver. I told her I would contact NWR for her, being a vet myself who has his oxygen needs provided by NWR, as I am.more familiar than her with the company. I gave NWR my phone number to have the tech contact me and I was unable to answer his call immediately. So the tech called the clients home and was speaking to the care giver, and through her the veteren that is on 5-6 LITERS OF OXYGEN. The tech asked her how many oxygen tanks were on site. He had 3 dolly supported tanks and 12 small portable tanks and the tech said that he felt that they had plenty and told the care giver his opinion and the care giver told the veteren and they both wound up accepting the techs opinion. However, I called the tech back with8n 5 minutes and he explained how the situation had been handled and I was very upset and tried to get the tech to take addition large bottles to the vet and he flat out refused, saying that is not how they do things", and that he thought "they would get the power back on quickly. The conversation got heated on my part as I thought it was far better to error on the side of caution but he was defiant and would not consider my request! He thought it was a good idea for them to use the small tanks which would need to be changed approximately every half hour! I could not believe or understand his position. I even offered to met his and transfer the tanks to my truck, he refused. I was so angry with him I swore at him and he said "he would hang up". I calmed myself but I realized he and I were not going to improve the out come so we got off the phone. I founded out today ***** 7th that the tech didn't understand that the vet needed 5 liters which might explain his position, however this tech services the veterens oxygen concentrator (and mine).
