5 starsAs a single dad, I was so frustrated with trying to figure out where to meet people—apps were a total waste of time with all the fake profiles and shallow connections. Minneapolis Singles was exactly what I needed. It’s private, professional, and takes all the guesswork out of dating. I love that they really focus on quality connections, and I don’t have to worry about my personal life being out there for everyone to see. When I moved from San Jose, CA, to Minnesota in 1997, I had already dipped my toes into online dating via AOL's app in the Bay Area. Once settled in Minnesota, I stumbled upon Minneapolis Singles and decided to join. I met some incredible people, had a lot of fun, and even got engaged to one of the members. Unfortunately, our relationship didn't work out, but I have no regrets; she was a wonderful person. After some time to heal and a period where I'd given up on finding someone, I decided to try again. A coworker recommended Match, but the quality of matches there wasn't comparable to what I experienced with Minneapolis Singles. I encountered numerous profiles with outdated photos by 10-20 years and deceit about smoking habits. It was quite a nightmare! I also tried eHarmony and Plenty of Fish, but the results were similar. However, with OKCupid, I did meet someone with whom I had a long-term relationship, though marriage wasn't in our cards. We parted as friends, and I moved on. One day, while mowing my lawn, I remembered Minneapolis Singles and the great people I had met there. I slapped my forehead, thinking, "Why did I forget about M.S.?" I found out they had moved to a new location, drove over, and rejoined. Well, the rest is history. There, I met the girl of my dreams! We've been together for six years now and tied the knot three years ago. I can't thank Minneapolis Singles enough for introducing us! The only way to date in today's modern dating environment. I had tried some online dating sites, but there was always the question of whether or not this was a real person? Or, if it was a real person, were they actually who they said they were? Or, were they really interested in dating? Or just killing time? There were lots of questions and uncertainties and I spent a LOT of time weeding through profiles. Minneapolis Singles helped tremendously! The "weeding out" was already done! All the people who are in their program are real, verified people who are actually interested in meeting and dating in real life. I will say, I kind of expected a bit more interaction with the staff once my profile went "live" but I pretty quickly had a couple dates and have been dating someone I met through them for over a year now!Minneapolis Singles
