Jacob ******** from “Ashton McGee Restoration Group” came to our door and asked to get on our roof and take a “digital video” of it without proper consent. My father opened the door and Jacob said the reason for his visit was to take a digital video of our roof, but since my father does not speak or understand English that well, he couldn’t communicate with Jacob very well and he thought eventually he would leave. So Jacob still decided it was okay to go up on our roof thinking my father said it was okay which he did not and without proper consent. Eventually he came back down 15-20 minutes later to knock on the door and my father expressed his concern by the help of another family member and thought that he had already left. He also did not provide video of what he took and what exactly he was doing on our roof. I gave Jacob a call a few days later, and expressed my concern & asked for him to send me the video that he took of our roof, but he mentioned that “the file was too big” and that he couldn’t send anything but instead would rather meet in person. I would strongly recommend to not try to solicit business to someone if you don’t speak their native language. Coincidentally, a day later we started noticing a smell coming from the vents inside our home, we had someone come out & they mentioned that their was a crack in our heater from it overheating so much, that it produced toxic levels of c0. A strongly do not recommend this business.

    Hi ****,

We would like to apologize for the miscommunication with your father, ***** is a very stand up, honest individual and would never deliberately mislead anyone. The same holds true for all of our representatives. Not all of our reps are multilingual, and we do occasionally struggle with communication when English is a second language. He assumed that your father said to go ahead with the inspection. Also, video files are very large and can not be sent through Gmail, which is why ***** offered to bring it to you in person.

On the subject of your heater, there is nothing related to a roof inspection that would cause your heater to crack.

Please let ** know when you would like to stop into our office to view the digital analysis of your fathers roof.

    Thank you
