In June of 2021 we had Pronto Heating and cooling work on our air conditioner. In the course of doing diagnostics the tech replaced a capacitor and wired it wrong. The tech made no notes of this in his report. In May of 2022 we had ***** come try to service the ** again because the electrical switch was buzzing every time the compressor started. The ***** tech discovered the capacitor was wired incorrectly which caused the compressor to fail. The compressor is now drawing too much current and not able to start. This is the reason the electrical is now on the verge of shorting out as it is drawing way too much current trying to start. ***** says they can not warranty the unit because it was damaged by another company (Pronto) -- Pronto is unwilling to own up to their mistake and even asked ***** to falsify a warranty claim to replace the unit. ***** is willing to replace the unit for the price we paid in 2013 ($2880) as opposed to todays prices ($7000). Pronto is unwilling to pay us anything standing by the claim they didn't damge the ** even though the date on the manufacture of the capacitor is from 2020 meaning it had clearly been replaced by pronto and in doing so mis-wired. Pronto says they should not have to cover any damages even though the unit has to be replaced because of their mistake.

Pronto's service manager met with the customer to review the results of the service call performed in June 2021. As a result of this meeting Pronto agrees to propose AC replacement at a significant discount. -*************************
