  Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:

  Minnesota Dept. of Labor & Industry Consent Order
  

  On June 28, 2022, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.802, subd. 11(b)(9), 326B.809 and 326B.84 (4)(15) (2020). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to ensure all agreements with consumers are in writing: any change orders have the consumer's signature as consent and to fully comply with all agreements with Minnesota consumers. The business also agreed to: not demand payments that are not described in the contracts; not require additional payments outside of the contract in order to complete a project; address consumers concerns during and after completion of the home and not retaliate in any way to consumers who communicate or cooperate with DLI.  The business also agreed to pay $4,000.00 of a $15,000.00 penalty, with the balance stayed  on the condition the business complies fully with the terms of the Order.  The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law.
