    Last spring we had five mini-split heads and two compressors with heat pumps installed in our 1924 four square home. While we’ve had some issues with the system (all fixable), we’ve had phenomenal customer service and overall are quite happy with the system. Mike Simon has been our main point of contact and has been an exemplar of maintaining positive customer relationships. He responds in a timely and polite manner, communicates proactively, and clearly is determined to help us through the issues we’ve had (again, all solvable issues). We’ve been very happy with the product they installed and the customer service and warranty associated with the work. While customer service during install is important, the longevity and good communication we’ve had with their team is what has set Air Mechanical apart from other companies and we highly recommend them.

    - On 05/29/24 Air Mechanical came to my house to get my Air Conditioner running. The technician spent 1.75 hours at my house and fixed my Air Conditioner. When I asked for a labor rate, I was not given one. When I was told by the technician he found the part that needed to be repaired he never told me the cost of the part. When the technician was done, he presented me with a bill for $793.00. Included was the cost of the broken part called a contactor for $376.00. When I questioned the technician regarding the cost of the contractor, he said I would have to talk to Air Mechanical management. I asked the technician why he didn’t tell me the cost of the part before he installed it and he had no answer. - After the technician left, I contacted a wholesaler who sells parts to Air Mechanical and he told me the contactor was a $20-$30 device. In addition I found the same part at two different online stores for $20.00. I also contacted another Air Conditioner repair company, and they quoted me $190.00 to do the same job. - On 05/30/24 I contacted the Assistant Manager at Air Mechanical and explained my dissatisfaction that a long-term customer had been charged $376.00 for a $20.00 part. They asked if I had been quoted $376.00 for the contactor. I said no and they replied that was Air Mechanicals’ mistake. They had me talk to their boss. The Assistant Manager's boss contacted me and agreed to reimburse me $150.00. I didn’t think this was fair and he said he would have his boss call me. - On 05/31/24 and I spoke with the Top Manager. He only agreed to reimburse me $150.00 - I can include the invoice from Air Mechanical and quotes for the same part for for $21.18 and $21.79 if necessary. I have the names of everyone I talked to at Air Mechanical. - I have become very concerned about what other customers have been affected by Air Mechanical's business practices. - Charging a customer $376.00 for a $20.00 parts seems like price gouging.

    I appreciate your feedback but, I must reiterate the same information that we spoke about over the phone.

    The cost you were given was not for the part, the cost is for the service we provide and the repair.

    Included in this cost is everyone involved in the repair, from the person answering phones, the person ordering parts, and the technician themselves just to name a few.

    Anyone can quote a repair over the phone once someone has already diagnosed the issue, so what someone else quoted over the phone is irrelevant to the people that actually showed up at your home when service on your equipment was needed.

    I do admit that this industry has changed immensely from 26 years ago when I entered the **** world, and the Service Industry is very competitive as skilled labor is the biggest hurdle all of us face. We spend an extensive amount of time training our guys, as we have found that skilled technicians do not grow on trees.

    These are just some of the reasons our costs are what they are, and will remain that way to keep us competitive within the market and to provide exceptional service when our customers need us.

    If you are looking for cheap then we are not the company for you.

    I had a mini split installed on May 2. The installers, Sergio and Chris were very professional, concerned for working in my home by making sure they left the area clean. Sergio explained each step of the process and he answered all my questions, and made sure that I understood the operation of the mini split. I was very satisfied with their work ethic and highly recommend Air Mechanical for their service. The Sales Agent, Bruce Bradley was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating to meet my schedule for installation. I have utilized Air Mechanical for several years to perform semi annual maintenance on my HVAC and have always been pleased with their efficiency and work. Thank you Sergio and Chris for an excellent job.

    Installation of a new furnace and central air conditioning system in my house went flawlessly and was professionally done in a timely manner. The quality of the work was first class and the folks at AMI with whom I dealt were courteous and cheerful. Initial contact, estimating, scheduling, work, and billing went smoothly. This project is well done and I heartily recommend AMI for any who wants this work done for them!

    I should have read reviews before I scheduled them. They charged a service call fee, which was fine than $251 for 30 minutes of work. When I called to discuss they did not want to discuss and could have cared less. Time to find a HVAC company that values customers.

    Thank you for your feedback. We investigated this matter, and it sounds like your appointment was after-hours on a Saturday 10/28. Our after-hours pricing is slightly different as the technician must be on call and get out to your home on the weekend. I know that you had signed the estimate with us as the price was mentioned to you before we came out to the home. We did mention that you could also complete the regular hours appointment, but the after-hours appointment was chosen. We understand your frustration, however, we charge fairly within the market, and our afterhours pricing is agreed upon and signed. We do quality work regardless of the time that your appointment will take and charge a flat rate for after-hours and the repairs to get your heating back on in the home. I know that you spoke with someone here who reiterated that your pricing had been agreed upon, so we did in fact discuss this with you.     Air Mechanical has a policy that they can't give ANY estimate without being onsite. Since I'm asking about installation of new hardware in a new home that I don't own yet, this would cause an unnecessary delay in my planning. I understand they can't give me a complete estimate without being on-site (measurements, other details), but I specifically asked if they could quote me the costs for the 3 new plumbing-related items I'm looking to get, and they said they couldn't -- citing their onsite policy requirement. Another company cited a very similar policy, but when I explained that I don't yet own the home and don't want the delay, they said they would get back to me with the hard-costs that they can without going onsite. I wish Air Mechanical could have made the exception in this instance and offer a little customer service that might have gone a long way in potential business for them. Instead, they stuck to their policy and our telephone conversation ended with me being extremely disappointed with my only option to seek numbers elsewhere -- or to wait and weather the resulting domino effect on many other unrelated but dependent plans I have in progress. In the end, it seems they value their policy over customer service. Maybe it's good I won't be doing any future business with them.

    Air mechanical, I got charged $1,100.00 to replace a main water valve. $30.00 part took 10 minutes to install. It was on a Saturday, $206.00 just to show up. $818.00 an hour I was told after they showed up. Will never use or recommend them to anyone.

Our after-hours charges are because we must get the technicians to go out on the weekends and be able to get them out to your home to fix your water valve. We do charge fairly within the market to be able to complete the accurate plumbing repairs and were able to get the water back on in the home.
