Up North Auto in **********, ** sold **** $16k truck (priced for "full retail in excellent condition") that we soon discovered has a non-repairable rusted out frame (large holes) and won't do anything to make it right. Their website says, Offering the most affordable, quality car/SUV options in the Northland! and At Up North Auto, we only offer safe, reliable vehicles that have been inspected and, green lighted. We value honesty and integrity, and strive to create an enjoyable car buying experience for every customer! When asked about the inspection process they said (by chat) the mechanic puts it on a hoist and inspects the vehicles before they are sold. We were foolish enough to believe what they said on their website was true. And there is no way you can put this truck on a frame hoist without seeing the frame damage. We feel like we got robbed thousands of dollars. Either it wasn't inspected or they just let it get sold to some unsuspecting customer that way. There were some other problems too like the broken engine bracket, improperly mounted alternator that shredded the serpentine belt, the broken power steering pump, the broken suspension link, the defective brake light switch, the clogged oil pressure screen and defective oil pressure sending unit that we had to fix ourselves. They said the belt problem wasnt covered under the 30 day engine warranty and they offered to look at the oil pressure problem but it would have cost us $350 to have it towed there. How did all these problems pass the mechanics inspection?Again, the big problem is the frame rust hole damage that we couldnt see until the snow and ice melted. They won't take the truck back, they won't refund any portion, they won't trade for another vehicle and if you bother them they block you from their ******** chat. The only solution they suggested was we could take them to court. (Posted BBB Review under Chip W as I don't want to be publicly identified as sucker)
