      Worked 3 times and quit . Poor repair people . Part also is on back order . I give up on this product .

      Before buying Talons for my boat I wrote support to see if they were a viable option for my specific boat and of course to get the sale they were. I had sandwich plates and 10' Talons installed and they stick out way to far so they scoop water into the boat and I can't get onto plane. Long story short they will not work and need to come off so $4K in parts and $2K install down the drain and all Minn Kota support says is take it to the installer as now they can't give any information over the phone other than buy it because it will work. I'm stuck with these now so I will have to sell privately and lose my backside because support won't own their mistake and take these back but either way the installation and removal I will have to eat. I would never even think about Minn Kota products again after this debacle.

      I spoke with ********************* on 03-29-2024 concerning his Talons. Based upon the boat hull design (catamaran style) of the Twin Vee, it is not capable of accepting Talon shallow water anchors. The transom of the Twin Vee does not have adequate space for the Talons to be mounted without dragging in the water.

      Minn Kota is garbage. Don't waste your money.I bought a 80 pound / 60" 24 volt I-pilot Powerdrive 2 years ago. I bought it for one reason only. The spot lock feature. All the promotional stuff for this motor said it would keep you within a 5' radius when in spot lock mode. It won't keep you in a 25' radius. It's also the NOISIEST trolling motor I've ever owned.I emailed them about the issue. They said to adjust the boat offset with the remote. It has 5 different options. I've tried all of them with zero positive results. I was told by multiple folks to add the Minn Kota "heading sensor". That it would improve the spot lock. So before spending another 150 bucks on this motor for a sensor I emailed Minn Kota about this. I was told the "heading sensor" will only add the "jog" feature. I don't need a jog feature on a motor that already doesn't work correctly.After realizing that Minn Kota (Johnson Outdoors) doesn't have any desire to stand behind their products I left a negative review of this motor on their website. They removed it. Stating it was for the "wrong" product. I think I know which piece of junk I have Minn Kota. Left another review making sure I left it for the right product. It was removed again. Left another review, it was also removed. This alone should tell you where their priorities lie. It's not with retaining customers.In all my years I have never hated a piece of equipment as much as I hate this trolling motor. I might as well be anchor fishing.The snarky reply emails they send are also very infuriating. No Minn Kota I will not be giving you my phone number. You can communicate with me via email so there's written proof of what you've said. That or through the BBB. Don't waste your hard earned dollars with Minn Kota or Johnson Outdoors (parent company).Buy the Garmin Force trolling motor. It's fabulous.

      Purchased minn kota ulterra ip link mdi. $200 to install already $3199 in + $200. Took it to the lake the transducer didn't work after 4hrs trouble shooting, I called Minn kota 10 minute phone call. I was told to contact Humminbird. After another hour of troubleshooting fish finder was fine. Called minn kota back. They gave me a service center to take it to, but I would have to remove the trolling motor from my boat. ******* center said they needed motor in it's entirety, mount and everything. Another $200 to remove a defective product. When and if I ever get it back another $200 to reinstall. A total rip off.

      Hello *****,Thank you for your feedback. After reading through the voice and text conversations you had with the Minn Kota and Humminbird support staff, it appears your MDI transducer built-in to the Ulterra IP Link 80 lb, 60" shaft motor, is possibly the culprit in not providing accurate depth measurements. In order for proper diagnosis to occur, the trolling motor needs to be removed from your boat and brought to a service center. We understand this can be an inconvenience and we apologize for that. To prevent you from having to pay those extra fees in the future should you need service on it, we suggest you may want to install a quick release bracket after you get your motor back. Your motor will accept a black or white colored polypropylene (starboard material) to match the color of your boat. I added the links to our website so you can look at them and buy it from us or shop around online using our item numbers I hope this helps.********************************************************************************************************************************************* *********************************************************************************************************************************************

      I will take the defective trolling motor back to Bass Pro for a replacement. Less than 30 days. The only reason I'm doing this is for my humminbird network. I'm doubtful that this will do any better as I no longer have any confidence in Minn kota products. But I think its the best solution for me money wise. Thank God for Bass Returns.!!!

      **************** is very rude. They never have parts and tell you it's not their problem. The trolling motor is very unreliable. I've had Many fishing trips destroyed due to the poor quality of minn kota products. I'll never buy anything from them again. Takes weeks to get anything from them.

      I will never buy another Minn Kota product again! Brand new Ulterra used 3 times and malfunctioned no parts for it and 5 weeks to get it repaired.

      I needed a 1 inch shift I got a 3/4 inch shift I call Minn Kota about it and they are tiring to tell me that the shift they sent me is a 1 1/8 then why is a 1 inch cap to big for a 1 1/8 inch shift ???? That's the kind of people you have to deal with ( ****)

      **** dollar 2.6 year old motor that nobody wants to service. Minnkota customer service *****. And there's no repair centers within 2 and half hour from here and that center won't return my calls. The terrovq is junk and so is Minnkota.

You may need a new steering housing in addition to the circuit board. However, without having a trained ************************* diagnose the root cause you might be spending money on parts you do not need.       BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2020 ULTREX ON DECEMBER 5TH 2020. **** PLUS INSTILATION WAS CLOSE TO ****. I HAVE NEVER SPENT THIS KIND OF MONEY ON A TROLLING *****. THIS IS A LOT OF MONEY FOR ME. BRAND NEW THE **** LOCK ON THE FOOT PEDAL DIDNT WORK. TOOK IT TO THE SERVICE CENTER AND IT WAS A BAD BUTTON? ON A NEW **** DOLLAR *****? WELL THEY COVERED IT SO I THOUGH MAYBE JUST A FLUKE? A YEAR LATER AND THE **** JUST QUITS SPINNING. TAKE IT BACK TO THE SERVICE CENTER AND THEY CALL ME BACK AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER AND TELL BE THE ***** WAS PUT TOGETHER WRONG AND IT GOT WATER IN IT AND MINN KOTA WONT HONOR THEIR WAR****Y? SO THEY PUT THE ***** TOGETHER WRONG AND IT RUINS THE ***** AND THATS NOT COVERED BY THEIR WAR****Y? REALLY? THIS MAKES ME SICK. I CANT AFFORD ANOTHER ***** SO NOW IM JUST SCREWED? NEVER AGAIN. ITS HORRIBLE THAT YOU CANT TRURST AN AMERICAN COMPANY ANYMORE. APPARENTLY IM NOT THE ONLY ONE. WISH I WOULD HAVE CAME HERE FIRST AND READ THE REVIEWS.       Been a Minn Kota guy for years. Up graded, I Thought to a little bigger transom mount motor. Went from a 40 to a 55. Had bass boats for decades and got a little 12Ft *** boat for non gas powered lakes. Well me and my partner went out on this one lake for the 2nd time and motor started shaking and vibrating then died. We had to row all the way back to dock. Got a hold of Minn Kota and absolutely no help which so ever. Brought to a service dealer and they fixed it. Went out on lake again and motor died again. Got a hold of Minn Kota and they are telling me to video motor when breaking down. How am I suppose to video motor when it is broke down. I will never buy Minn Kota again. Motor was built in January bought in April and now broke down again. Its at service dealer now. Minn Kota is actually no help which so ever. Very poor customer service for a working man just to enjoy a day on water fishing.
