I went to buy a car for $5,900 and the sales guy insisted the bank said I had to have the car that THEY parked by the door for me to see. In which was a 2019 kia Forte, and total price would have been about $45,000. with interest. He didn't want me to see the papers to sign, he said " It's the same as the others, as he was shaking, so desperately to sell me that car. He also told me that the bank wanted me to give them $1000 down towards the car. In which the bank told me later, they said no such thing. He took the $1000. I told him I may be laid off my job and that I was worried about getting this big of a loan. And he said I can't back out of the loan. A few days later the bank gave me a courtesy call to see how I liked the car. And I told them I was not happy and at that time I was laid off. And the bank said, do you want to back out of buying the car and I said the dealership said I can't back out and the bank said, the loan has not even gone through yet so I will stop it before it goes through and call Hyundai of Mankato MN. At that time I was in Arkansas for the weekend as the dealership said I couldn't return it and when the bank called me, saying I did NOT HAVE TO BUY IT, I was already in Arkansas. That night I kept getting threatening text messages from the sales manager of Hyuandi of Mankato MN. He kept texting me even at 10pm saying he told the cops I stole the car and they're coming after me. He wouldn't stop texting and calling late in the evening, with the company phone. I told him to stop or I'd call the police and he wouldn't. My blood pressure was up so high. I called the police and she contacted him to stop, in which he still won't stop, he's text me 3 times after that. The police has told me to file harassment charges. I did not want to talk to Levi, as he was the one I am reporting. And he's the sales MANAGER... He refuses to give my $1000 back. Weirdest car place I have EVER been to!!!

Visited Mankato Hyundai with an appointment to test drive a 2020 Accent. The salesperson tried to get me to purchase an Elantra that was well above my price range. When I made the appointment, I made it very clear it was for a test drive and nothing more. The Elantra they offered me wasn't on the lot and they had nothing comparable to test drive. When I declined the offer multiple times, they felt the need to bring in New Car Manager Austin Vansteenwyk, in a last-ditch effort to close the deal. Austin spoke down to me and acted as though it was my fault I couldn't afford the car, I didn't want it in the first place. He went on to explain how I wasn't going to get lower APR anywhere else, even though they didn't run my credit. When I brought up the option to finance outside of the dealership with my personal credit union, as they were giving me better rates, Austin said that they don't allow that for new vehicles, which is absolutely absurd. This service was horrible and financing is a joke.
