I would be very cautious dealing with Schneiderman’s furniture at least in Lakeville Minnesota. My wife and I just spent several thousand dollars on two mattresses. I actually debated on spending so much but they were very comfortable. One of the concerns I had was if we did not like the mattress would I have to pay a penny above what I’ve already agreed to. I was told if I did not like one of the mattresses, and had to swap out, I would not have to pay anything if the cost of the swap was the same or less. I was aware that if I ended up swapping out a mattress for a lower priced one, they would not refund me the difference and I was OK with that as well. One of the mattresses ended up being too firm, it was firm no fault of anybody. I called Schneiderman’s this morning and talk to the manager. I advised I wanted to swap out one of the mattresses. The manager was very condescending and explained that they can do that if I don’t wanna wait a full 30 days, but it would cost me almost $300 to have another one shipped out and swapped out. That was never explained to me. He said I signed the contract saying I understood that when I signed four or five things as part of the contract. Let’s be honest, people don’t look at the fine print, but clearly I should’ve. Based on the amount of money I spent and the promises that were given to me. I am very concerned that I have to pay additional charges. I debated purchasing these items due to the cost. I felt comfortable at the end that worst case, I don’t like one of the mattresses we can swap out at no cost. That is not the case. What did Schneiderman do wrong… I asked at least twice would I have to pay anything else if I did not like either of the mattresses and I was told as long as the mattress was less that I replaced it with or same price nothing. Second, the way the manager was condescending to me, saying, I signed the contract that I would agree to this additional delivery fee did not sit well with me.

Thank you for your response. We sincerely appreciate the steps Schneidermans has taken to address the concerns listed above. We feel there has been a fair compromise that met the needs of both parties. The customer service we experienced after the initial complaint was top notch.

Swindled by the Lakeville location. After 3 hours of shopping, I came across a sectional that I thought would fit nicely in my home. At checkout the price was considerably higher than the price shown on the price tag on the floor. The sales associate immediately turned red and offered no resolution, as the manager had already left for the day. The next day, I called to speak with Joey, the store manager, who apologized for the error but said he would not honor the sales price as advertised. He insisted it was human error, speculated who made the error based off handwriting, but refused to take accountability for their stores actions. Instead, he offered a free delivery service on a different sale. This store baited us in with a false advertising claim, then switched the pricing with hopes we were already in love with the furniture. I had no desire to start looking for a new piece of furniture, especially at this store given the recent interactions. How many other tags are incorrect? Very disappointed in the way this store is managed and how customers are treated. Be accountable for your mistakes by honoring the price then review your internal procedures and make changes as needed to prevent mistakes like this from happening again.

Bought a $4k Stressless power recliner and the oak base was cracked when I received it. A tensioning knob was broken as well. I suspect it was dropped from the truck. Schneiderman's refused to give me a new chair or allow a return, and insisted on "fixing" the chair. They sent a repairman out who replaced the base and knob, and as I suspected, the problems did not stop there. As he was leaving, the entire armrest came detached from the chair. I had to stop him and have him come back in and put it back on. The problems continued over the years, and all the issues always happening on the same side as the crack on the base had been. The repairman blamed me claiming I either had the tensioning knob (which he earlier claimed was completely cosmetic) either too tight or too loose, or that I must be leaning to one side causing the problems. I weigh 125LB and did not cause these problems, nor do I lean to one side. Whatever caused the oak base to break in the first place caused the problems. I now am stuck with a damaged and failing $4k chair that I could not afford but purchased anyway to help with back problems. I have contacted Schneidermans one last time in hopes they will properly fix or replace the chair, but I doubt they will make it right based on my experience thus far. If you're shopping for Stressless furniture, I can't recommend it enough, but buy it elsewhere. When this chair inevitably fails completely, I will bring my business to one of the several other places that sell Stressless.

Hi *****, thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate your patience as we looked into this. Our records show that we did indeed replace your purchase from 2020 in 2021. In addition, we are currently working on your request for repair of the current chair. Unfortunately, we are unable to fully replace a chair with that many years of love as you requested but are doing our best to meet *********** needs.

Do not trust protection plan or service related to it at all. My husband and I bought a couch at the store in Duluth. The sales person talked us into purchasing the protection plan due to the fact that I was pregnant and we were worried about spills and wear to the couch. We probably wouldn’t have purchased the couch unless it had this protection plan available. What bothers us the most about this situation is the fact that the sales person made it seem like the protection plan was worth the money and it would help us keep the couch nice for several years. I am a neat freak and we are not over weight. We take good care of our things. The couch completely broke in one of the corners and it started to pill on another area. I walked into the store to see what I could handle regarding getting it fixed. The sales person gave me a number to call so I called it from the store. I called the number and it prompted me to file a claim online so that’s what I did. I never got a confirmation e-mail/call/anything. After 1 month of not hearing back I called the number and told them I was trying to check the status. I was transferred from department to department. Hung up on a few times and not called back (not because I was being rule I was very polite). It was unorganized and seemed like a scam. No one could tell me anything. I called a few times that week to try to get somewhere and it was very hard to get anyone to help or have an answer. Eventually a man who didn’t seem sure of himself told me that a service technician would be contacting us within 2 to 4 business days to come fix the couch. No one has followed up or called. I have not received an e-mail or anything from them. I filed the claim related to the damage on December 12th and it is January 30th with no answers. Unbelievable. We payed for the 5 year-extended protection plan. We are not happy.

This company is full of ****. My wife and I bought a sofa from them. I had asked in the beginning to make sure the sofa was available at there warehouse in Lakeview and the lady reassure me there was. We proceed with the purchase and even verifying for a second time to make sure the sofa was there and when I can pick up. The sales lady says anytime between 8am-4pm. So I took the day off and went to go pick it up. Wasted my time. I live in hamlake and took me over an hour to get there. There was no couch. Not only did I lose time off work and gas money, they didn't even offer to help or compensate for losses. They didn't seem to care one bit and said I have to come back when the couch is available and who knows-it might take 3 months. This company is scam and heartless. I would not shop there again and they need to be investigated for their fraud tactics!
