I love how many options of Quartzite there are. We did not need an appointment to go into their showroom, and they displayed sq ft price with install and fabrication on every slab there. I would highly recommend stopping in to check them out!

We purchased Quartzite counter tops from StoneSource in 2021 after being told they're a great choice for kitchens. We had Granite in our prior home and they were very durable and we were assured Quartzite was equaly durable. After two years we noticed some discoloration along the edges that gradually got larger and also appeared on our island which isn't near heat, grease or water. I also don't believe these stains are from the sink as there are two seperate stones on each side of the sink (the seam splits in the center of the farmhouse sink) and only one side has these stains. I reached out to StoneSource about my issue and was told they've never seen this happen before. Their only thought was a failed sealing. I was then informed they apply a seal after fabrication but only warranty it for one year and it should be sealed every year. Looking at my official receipt and on their website under ************** there is no mention of sealing the stone yearly, and we were also told while discussing the benefits of Quartzite with the sales lady that generally you seal it around 5 years. All that being said, I don't believe the staining is caused by sealing but rather it's a characteristic of Quartzite and how it's manufactured. There are many online forums complaining about Quartzite and how it stains so easily after installation, this will take you to other links.********************************************************************************** In fact most reputable stone suppliers don't even carry Quartzite because of this issue. A forum in 2020 with stone suppliers around the country, 57% reported staining issues with Quartzite. It's very misleading to claim it's as durable as Granite. I was offered a $300 service call with $150 per hour after the first with no garantee of any change to the staining. This counter that we paid $9700 for shouldn't even be sold for kitchens and StoneSource doesn't back up their products.DON'T BUY MIAMI WAVE QUARTZITE

Stone Source in ******** ** had a good selection of granite and quartzite slabs, but their installation was terrible. If you buy slabs from them, I highly recommend you have someone else do the fabrication and install. Stone Source did extensive damage to our custom cabinets when they installed the island countertop (over $1,000 in damage) and will not pay for the damage because according to my salesperson, "In the signed contract, it states that Stone Source is not liable for damage to cabinets as it is a construction site and you are acting as your own general contractor. I spoke with the team and unfortunately Stone Source cannot cover the charges." The contract said "Care will be exercised during ********************** of counters; however scrapes, punctures, or digs to wall surfaces are possible, as are scratches & scrapes to *********************** and construction dust. These are considered incidental damages & are the customer's responsibility to repair." I saw this in the contract prior to install and asked my salesperson about this and she said not to worry about it because they never damage the counters. I think over $1,000 in cabinet damage is more than incidental and very unprofessional! They did not take any ownership for the damage they caused. I did have a separate general contractor so don't really understand their response and what that has to do with Stone Source damaging the cabinets. In addition, they had to come out 3 times (so far) to fix the seam where the pieces of quartzite meet. The silicone, or whatever they use, keeps coming out and leaving a hole between the pieces. I now have a nice big ugly seam. On top of all of this, when they installed the countertops, they dripped the sealant down one of the cabinets and had no solution for getting the drip stains off. I do NOT recommend them!!!!

The sales person ***** was friendly. However the installers were a real problem. The supervisor ***** was extremely rude yelling at me in my own home and refusing to answer questions. The other two men were pleasant but put the back splash in wrong causing an unsightly seam. The silicone along the wall was all over the quartz. I was told the silicone was paintwork but it is not. The opening for the range was also uneven. When I wrote the store about these issues I never even received a response.

We had a counter top in our bathroom replaced by Stone Source. They put a huge hole in the wall during demolition above the backsplash, there was a 1/4-1/2" overlap over the side of the counter top backsplash and counter top, 1/4" gap on the front side of the countertop, left with caulk oozing out between the backsplash and top, they cut the stone outside on our front porch and the quartzite dust was left on the porch and all over the side of our house (which we are unable to completely remove from the siding}. They charged $50 to come out and measure the existing counter, before they made the new countertop. Having paid this fee, I would not expect they would have to do any major cutting of the new backsplashes during installation. One backsplash is 1/4" short to the countertop and one backsplash is 1/8" long to the countertop as installed. They say that incidental damage is the responsibility of the customer to repair incidental damages as stated in the terms and conditions. We would be ok with some of the damage, if the damage wasn't caused by incompetent workmanship that Stone Source will not take responsibility for.. Stone Source wanted to charge us $300 to repair the wall and originally said the 1/2" sheetrock didn't meet code. Laughable. Make sure you read the Terms and Conditions carefully, as any damage inside or outside your house caused by Stone Source will be your responsibility. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for your granite or quartzite counter installation. The worst quality and workmanship I have ever witnessed at a price that is not the cheapest. We have had other granite countertops installed in two bathrooms from another company and did not experience any of these issues at a better price and quality. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. They are not worthy of your money.
