They won't approve shoe reviews with honest evaluations...Reconsider your boot company. It is hit or miss and if they keep going the direction they are going it will be miss.Poor Craftsmanship Long Time Consumer I have bought the regular version of thus boot many times, but not only has the price jumped by 50% despite it being China made but it is reflected as China made in quality. One boot has interiot padding sticking past a leather edge's stitching. Both boots have stitching splitting and the boot is opening up. Ironically I am not in my industry at the moment. I am watching my child and breaking the boots in with morning walks and a weekly mow if that tells you how incredibly poor the stitch work is that a morning walk and some yardwork would split the seams. I called Red Wings and suggested I go back to the shop but with a baby, finding time and making a trip two towns over is difficult. Finding a moment to get new boots was difficult... i couldn't make it in time and no doubt they'd take the boots and I'd have to get that way again... These use to be entry level but after all is done and paid for $200 to $300 isn't very entry level. There is a reason no one in my industry recommends Red Winds anymore. I have watched them decline for 20 yrs now. I have had conversations with their management and marketing, but nothing ever comes of it. I do not recommend these.Red Wing Shoe Company Inc Response

Red **************************** Raises Concerns Unable to find Red Wing Classic moc boots in-store, I made a special order with a hefty deposit. Promised in three weeks, a month later, no delivery. This lack of fulfillment prompts questions: Is Red Wing facing financial woes? Are they neglecting suppliers and staff? The uncertainty has me doubting Red Wing's integrity. I'm truly surprised to see ANY bad reviews regarding Red Wing Shoes here. I really am! It's probably because people that have strong opinions are more likely to go through the effort of leaving a review in the first place. This probably applies to me as well! So here we go:Late last year, my friends bought me a pair of what seemed to be brand new Vasque hiking boots as a "thank you!" gift for organizing a 2 week backpacking trip last year. My old Vasque Taku GTX's had finally worn out (after 6 years of heavy use in the Sierra ********* What I didn't know is that these "new" boots probably came from an old overstock that had been sitting for years: when I started wearing them, almost immediately, the whole Vibram sole came off! :-(I contacted Vasque / Red Wing Shoes customer support, and interacted with "**************". After sending her photos of the issue, she informed me that these shoes had been last produced in 2007 (!!!), and were obviously out of warranty. But nevertheless... she kindly sent me a coupon for 100% off (yes... you read that right!) on my next Vasque purchase. She obviously did not need to do this at all, but apparently, Red Wing Shoes REALLY takes customer service to the next level!I visited the local store in ***********, **, and met with the store manager "Lucky Farales", who turned out exceptionally knowledgeable about the products they sell (and WOW! They DO sell great shoes!). He first measured my feet, pulled out a pair of Vasque Talus AT UltraDry's, and the fit was perfect right off the bat (which is not obvious: there's only a few brands that fit me well). He then advised me to order online, so I could apply the coupon. I did, and received the shoes within a couple of days. They're PERFECT!No be honest: Where do you still find customer support like this? Kudos to the people at RWS. You really rock (pun intended)! From now on, it's RWS all the way for me. No more ***... Rude customer care, I've bought several pairs of Redwings over the years so when my birthday came two years ago, I decided to treat myself to a new pair of heritage blacksmiths I went to the nearest Redwings store to buy the Blacksmiths which they didn't have in stock after I told them what I wanted they said I should have my foot measured the sales person measured my feet with the ******* Device and got the wrong size so they ordered a nine and half when I take an eight after the second visit I insisted on a size eight which fit perfectly and was comfortable so the I bought them the salesperson asked me how they should be cared for and I told him what I do with a new pair of shoes which is saddle soap Fiebrings and Saphir leather bomb or **** 4 which pretty standed for calfskin not knowing that oil tanned leather is very different. When I got home I did whaI have done with new shoes for many years the turned black and looked like I had ripped off from a homeless person so I went about trying to get the tannish brown back using every Redwing product and Saphir product trying to clean these nasty looking boots.....nothing worked so I finally Emailed customer care and received a dismissive answer that ***** would send me a list of REDWING products which she didn't and unneeded by this time My Email a suggestion that they include care instructions I Emailedf back not happy dismissveness is rudness so that ended a decades-old relationship with Redwind..... sincerely ************************* *************Red Wing Shoe Company Inc Response

Winter ******** in *************, **** today tried to warranty out some boots that are under six month warranty. The manager had a very nasty attitude and refused to provide service to us. When I question her authority she threatened Me with police. Such A rude And disrespectful woman manager at this branch. She needs to be fired from her position. They hired me and because of me talking about that they don't offer any benefits, the owner ( *************************) as fired me. I had no real reason to be fired, yet he left a employee without a job. I worked hard and followed all the rules and policies to the best of my ability. I gave great customer service, and provided the ability to keep on learning. they have place me in a very big predicament. I'm ********************************************************** and my brother are fighting to give him the best life possible, ******** does not know what they have done by letting me go. They have destroyed the way I think, they have also taken away food from my family's mouth. I don't recommend Red wings to nobody. My dad bought redwing work boots 40 years ago. They were top quality. I decided to buy a pair. I wore them to town a couple of times to break them in. Then tonight I was walking my property, gravel road, and the sole started flopping. It cracked right off! Great boots. My problem is the company's sales staff is deceptive a lot of the time and customer service is hardly available for help. If the boot you want isn't available to buy on hand at one of the Red Wing stores you visit the sales staff will tell you it's been discontinued or is simply not available even though this is not true. After they tell you the shoe has been discontinued, they try to encourage you to buy whatever shoes they have on hand.Example: I visited the Red Wing shoe store in Bloomington, **. I saw the Supersole 2.0 in *****, I picked it up and asked the associate if they made it in black to which he said no. Disappointed I bought one of the other black pairs of steel shoes they had on site. When I got home, I visited RedWing shoes website where I found the Supersole 2.0 in black. I called the store up the next day and left a message asking if I could purchase this item instead. The next day I got a call back saying the boot could be sent in **** days. Three days if another store had it, 10 days if it came from the warehouse where it was being MANUFACTURED! I'm not the first Red Wing customer who has been told a boot they want has been discontinued when it hasn't, and this also isn't the first time it's happened to me. If Red Wing shoes wants to keep its customers, they need to stop lying to them to try and manipulate and influence their behavior. I think a lot of the sales staff just wants to sell whatever they have on hand despite if it's what the customer wants or not- they're afraid they won't get a sale or the customer will buy elsewhere. Customer service isn't much better. Asked them if I could buy a pair of the Dynaforce ****, an awesome shoe that's advertised on their website. I've gotten three different answers on it. The company finally told me to reach them at an email address that doesn't even work. I'm sympathetic to production delays and willing to wait, Red Wing needs to stop trying to manipulate its customers through lying.Red Wing Shoe Company Inc Response

Good grief! Ive already been told to get a hold of you guys at ******************************************* its clearly not working and Ive stated that to you guys a couple of times now. Rather just answering my question on the availability of the Dynaforce ****, you keep sending me to links/addresses that arent working for me. Almost every attempt to contact you guys has included my interest in buying the Dynaforce **** in **** because you have it advertised on your website. Not sure why someone in customer service cant recognize this and help me out.I left a review stating I was interested in buying the Dynaforce ****, to which I received this response from Red Wing Shoes: Response fromAbby Customer Service:Thank you for your review! We are still manufacturing this item. Please reach out to me directly at ****************************************** to complete a shoe search for you! This is one of the reviews Ive left that has now since been deleted by you guys. Ever since Ive attempted to contact you guys at that address Ive heard nothing back, thats why I went on the BBB, and of course you respond by asking: what can we do to help? It should be obvious by now, I want to know if you are still willing to conduct a shoe search for the Dynaforce **** in **** black like you said you could?This is a nightmare trying to get answer to a simple question!
