In the autumn of 2021, I had some home renovations done, including sanding and refinishing my hardwood floors in every room of the house. For this particular project, I was referred to the crew at Duanes Floor Service by someone in my neighborhood who had worked with them before and was very satisfied with the results. I knew I was in good hands from the moment the estimator arrived and walked me through the entire process, from the sanding to the staining to the coating, and I appreciated how transparent and knowledgeable he was as I was asking him questions about this project. The estimator passed his notes along to **** Gullickson, one of the main folks art Duanes, who was also very courteous, knowledgeable, and certainly patient with me as I asked lots of questions and even struggled to make certain decisions, even changing my mind from time to time. She had lots of other projects to worry about, not just mine, but she took the time and made the effort to help me figure out what I want, not just at the beginning during the estimate process, but throughout as timelines changed with other contractors I was working with on other projects. Then I met **** who was the project supervisor, on the first day of work, and he was awesome. Also very knowledgeable, very courteous and professional, and so very friendly. They were scheduled to be in my home for about 5 days. Prior to their arrival, because I knew there would be a lot of noise from the floor *******, dust, and heavy checmical smells from the polyurethane, I booked a hotel and vacated the house for that entire week. The reason I felt comfortable being out of the house was because this family business made me so comfortable whenever I spoke to them, I trusted them to do the right thing, and I trusted them to communicate with me if there were issues, or even if I just wanted to see pictures of their progress, which they gladly provided. This is huge. Homeowners go through a lot of stress during any home improvement project, especially one of this magnitude, and they were so good at alleviating that stress at all times. Customer ********************** is huge, and they nailed it. And then I saw the finished product and nearly fell over...this floor did not only appear to be refinished.it appeared brand new! It was so immaculate I literally thought they replaced it with a new floor. They didnt...but it looked that spectacular. Shiny, excellent, and like I was in a new house. Wonderful job!! I would absolutely recommend this crew for any flooring work because they turned my floors into something I would expect to see in a much nicer house than my own, and they did it at a very reasonable price, and with such wonderful attitudes and pleasant demeanors.
