I purchased a 2013 **** escape August 2023. In August I started having issues as follows:8/10-Just an update, the technician will be performing removal of the turbocharger to inspect for any internal leaks. He will get started today and once we get in there and see what's going on, we'll go from there.8/18-We got the turbocharger removed and the internal seals are leaking oil into the turbo, causing that black smoke. The coolant leak was found to be the water outlet housing.2/5/2024- We found an oil leak from the valve cover and turbo supply line. Then we did find a coolant leak at the bypass valve. Then the check engine light is on for the active grille shutter. Now Im being charged $2800 and all the issues are regarding the same issues.IVE BEEN SOLD A LEMON

Buyers Beware... I want to share my experience. We purchased a 2014 Dodge Durango from Shakopee Chevrolet March 1, 2023. The salesman was extremely rude & not friendly at all (even our credit union loan officer said he was rude). We purchased the truck for $15,000+ & less than 30 days after purchasing the truck, we started noticing things not working properly. The gas release door wouldn't open to get gas, the turn signal handle broke and is hanging (it's not safe to drive it like that), the air conditioner blows hot air on one side and cool air on the other side (we purchase the truck in the winter time and it had a half tank of gas) so we didn't think to check those things. We reached out to the sale man and he told us, "you bought a used vehicle, AS IS" what do you want me to do about it? None of those things were disclosed to us. I then reached out to service manager. The service manager told me to get an estimate at *********** in Shakopee. I made the appt and then tried to called Shakopee Chev again before the appt several times & no one returned my calls. I then reached out the the branch manager, who didn't return any of my calls. April 17th was my appt to get an estimate and now no at Shakopee Chev was willing to help when I went back. The owner finally called me back & the owner didn't care about the truck issues or our concerns. He continued to over talk my ******** then he started yelling. The owner said, "I don't have time for this SHIT". Shakopee Chev gave us the run around, why would the service manager tell us to go get an estimate and now they didn't want to fix it. I understand it's a used vehicle but none of the truck's issues were disclosed to us when purchased. No one wants to spend $15,000 to then have to repair the basic necessaries (turn signal, gas release door, air conditioning). We thought buying from a repeatable dealership was a good idea but NOT at Shakopee Chevrolet. If you're looking to purchase a vehicle, learn from my mistakes.

Hi, Ironically, this customer forgot to state some very important facts and obvious information.. 1. The 2014 Dodge Durango was sold with ******* miles and sold "AS IS"2. The Purchase price was $12,943.00 not ********* 3. The Vehicle was sold absolutely AS IS and the customer Signed many statements as such.4. Five weeks after the purchase the customer complained in our shop, that the gas door wouldn't open, clearly outside any possible responsibility of an AS IS sale. Regardless of the as is sale, 5 weeks later we are confident the customer had fueled their Durango in 5 weeks of ownership. We informed them to take it to a Dodge dealership, it was their responsibility. The Dodge dealership (per the customer) said the turn signal cancelation switch was not operating) Again the Customer responsibility .5, The customer Threatened to use all social media outlets as well and the BBB to demand we pay to fix the as is vehicle,Shakopee Chevrolet will do what a AS IS sale states... in the paperwork! The customer is no longer allowed inside ***************************,

This is our experience and ironically the person responding to this BBB doesn't know the entire situation but wants to respond after ONLY talking to us one time after I called several times about the truck's issues. The vehicle after taxes and fees, totaled $14,020 "to be exact". I called several times about the vehicle's issues and NEVER got a return phone call from the service manager or the branch manager, that's why I went to the dealership. If they called back then they would have known about the additional issues. My experience is CORRECT no matter how you try to reframe it. It's my right to share my experience with others on BBB and social media. I NEVER threaten anyone, I stated, "I have the right to share my experience with others". It's interesting that you would say, "I decided to go get an estimate some where else", when your service manager told me to go get the estimate and bring it back to Shakopee Chev (obviously YOU don't have all the facts). Don't worry about fixing the truck, we no longer trust Shakopee Chev to fix it anyway. Especially after talking to the owner who was extremely rude and obviously doesn't care about customer satisfaction. As I stated before, no one wants to purchase a vehicle for "$15,000" ($14,020) and have to bring it to the repair shop after only driving it a few times within 30 days. Please explain to me how that makes any sense (new, used or AS IS) for that amount of money? This wasn't a $800 "beater". That's why we went to a dealership, who you would think, would inspect their vehicles before selling them and/or at least disclose the vehicles issues (which that did not happen). I will NEVER refer anyone or purchase another vehicle at SHAKOPEE CHEVROLET. (AGAIN, THIS IS OUR EXPERIENCE)

I truly am sorry to have to respond to such distorted foolishness... First, the person making these claims, isn't even the buyer. I attempted to find her in our system...she isn't in the system, as a purchaser. I left a voicemail to the number on the message and provided that information. A *******+ mile car is sold by the State Law, as "AS IS", the buyer signed documents acknowledging this FACT. As is... is, AS IS, not 5 weeks later... my gas cap won't open. Then later, at the next Service center, you took the *******+ vehicle to... they say, your turn signal doesn't cancel after the turn... you call 6 weeks after the purchase and demand we fix it. Yes, you threatened Shakopee Chevrolet if we failed to aqueous to your demands. After which, I told you to be sure to be accurate in your statements, otherwise it would be considered slander. I said, "be sure to tell them it was a 208K mile 9 year old vehicle, sold AS IS... for $12,943.00", you replied "of course you would." And now, those obvious FACTS seamed to have been deliberately omitted in your complaint. Even now, by adding in what you paid the ****************** for tax and fees, is still part of the the myth, you're attempting to reshape the facts. This wasn't a new vehicle and the buyer was well aware that... at $12,943.00 and *******+ miles it simply obvious to those with just an ounce of reasoning capacity. Both, the true buyer, and the impossibly misleading person, with play-doh non-facts, is vindictively threaten our business with misinformation and a lack of personal responsibility, just to get her way...

I truly am sorry that I bought a truck from Shakopee Chevrolet. This has been the worse experience WE have ever been through. This is the most I've ever heard from Shakopee Chevrolet, maybe if you called back we wouldn't have to keep going back & forth. Know your FACTS before responding, I know what I'm talking about, I was there. Clarification: I've said "WE" many many times, WE bought the truck. I looked at the truck, I test drove the truck and WE came to pick it up. WE paid $14,020 (don't care who got what portion). "WE" are writing about our experience at Shakopee Chevrolet, It is NOT slander. WE are sharing our experience with others. Shakopee Chevrolet omit telling us about defective things. How do you not know the gas door doesn't open??? How do you not know the turn signal handle was faulty??? How do you not know the air conditioning doesn't work??? Obviously you don't check your vehicles before selling them to someone else. In our paperwork none of this was disclosed (SHOCKER). You keep saying WE didn't call Shakopee Chevrolet for 5 weeks, NOT true. I called SEVERAL times. You called ONE time, only after I came to Shakopee Chevrolet. We can continue to keep going back & forth as long as you like, it's not going to change my responses. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED!!!!!! Shame on Shakopee Chevrolet. BUYERS BEWARE.....
