    I asked for an estimate to fix an apparent condensation issue around my bathroom ceiling exhaust fan. The ceiling deteriorated over time around the fan as a result. The estimator walked into the bathroom looked at the fan, then left & emailed an estimate to replace the fan, piping to roof plus the roof vent without further investigation. Later, having the system checked by others, we found said system above the fan to be sound & dry. Further removal of the fan cover showed a gap between the fan & the sheetrock causing the condensation during cold weather. Therefor, only the fan needed replacement at a potentially much lesser cost. Poor investigative work!!

    I understand your frustration with the investigative portion of our estimate. I wish you would have called us to discuss this so we could have explained further and gotten more details from you. Generally, all you can see when you take off a fan cover is the body/guts of the fan. You can't see into the piping at all. Often times, we have to trust what the customer says because you can't see what is beyond the fan. So I'm wondering if the people who performed the work took down the whole fan? If so, who did that work - was it an estimator or someone there to perform the work? What was the difference in the price between what we provided and how much you paid to have the work done? I would love to talk about this so we could learn more about what happened and improve in the future. I am sorry that we missed this, but I would still like to actually talk about your experience if you are willing. Thank you.
