      This was a door to door solicitation for spraying for insects /bees. I was told that I could cancel services at any time without penalty. I was working from home the day they showed up and wished I had never answered the door. I was given the salesmans card and told I could call with any questions. Again told I could call to cancel remaining services without problems. Needing to return to work I agreed for initial service. Upon trying to cancel remaining services I was told I was locked in and now owe them over $300 for penalty of breaking contract. This was CLEARLY not disclosed during the sales pitch and is a way to make money off of people. I'd never do business with them again simply for the fact the way they do business. I'm not paying then another dime and continue to get calls from all kinds of different numbers and different people trying to contact me. Never again terrible experience.

      On August 1, 2024, a representative from Ecoshield came to my door and told me that I could get a discount on pest control. He made it sound like it was a one time fee of $179. I later learned that was per service and there would be multiple services. I tried to cancel after the first service, which was on Sat., August 3. On Mon., Aug. 5 I emailed and called Ecoshield. I was told I should have read the contract and would be charged $300 to cancel, but they could give me a deal. The deal was cheaper than canceling, so I agreed. I was told I would have four more services including the egg cycle service. I was sent an email with the new rates, but noticed it did not say anything about the number of services. I asked numerous times for that information in writing, but they would not provide it and kept trying to get me to call their service line which is a total run around. After reading other complaints online, I have decided I want nothing further to do with this shady company. I don't want them at my house. I don't want to waste any more time. I just want to cut ties without any penalty. I was willing to go through with services until June 2025 at the reduced rate I was promised, but since they are unwilling to provide written confirmation of that, I'm done with them. I cannot believe such a shady company is allowed to continue to be in business.

      The sales rep. **** me they would contact my current company Greenmix to cancel my services on my behalf. Later they sent a text stating I would have to contact Greenmix. ******** advised me what Ecoshield advised me was illegal. They would not cancel my service unless I paid a $300 cancelation fee.

      This company goes for to door offering exterior and interior spray treatments for pests. Sales person who came to the door assured me that with any dissatisfaction I could cancel my quarterly scheduled spraying with them at any time.First technician who came out and sprayed around the premises did a thorough and thoughtful job and even answered multiple questions. The second technician who came for the next round was brisk, rude, noncompliant and did not perform the work to an acceptable level. I canceled the remainder of services with this company and they've attempted to send an invoice for hundreds of dollars claiming I owe them some type of contract breach payment.Looking online at many other peoples reviews they've had the same experience, and I'm amazed that a business can continue to operate when it's based solely on trying to get hundreds of dollars in free money from customers for shoddy service, no customer response when you call their numbers, and harassing emails and texts.I have a recorded ring doorbell conversation with the sales person stating that I could cancel with this company at any time.Upon informing them that I no longer wanted their services I received no less than three text messages from different people and different numbers within the span of one hour!This whole company is a marketing scheme with aggressive sales tactics and little substance to their service offering.The "Invoice" sent by this company, although stating that they are based in the Twin Cities only has a PO Box in ********* listed as the contact info. Pretty suspect. This is not a Minnesota business, and the predatory business people running this operation from out of state are attempting to continue making money based on intimidation and aggressiveness. This is anathema to any type of better business practice.

      Sales rep came to my door on 07/10/2024 and advised he could offer eco friendly way to get rid of ants, earwigs, spiders outside the home and inside the home. He promised to treat the yard and indoors for insects and place a mouse trap inside the house and outside the house. I was charged ******. On 07/11/2024 they treated the area and placed one mouse trap inside the house and were supposed to return on 07/12 to drop off the mouse trap for outside. On 07/15 I woke up to a swarm of flying ants biting me and ants all inside my bedroom and My fianc had two earwigs crawling on him. Called the company who state this was normal and they couldnt re-spray since my place was just treated on 07/11. They refuse to refund me but waived my cancellation fee. I had no idea I was in a contract or did I know anything about a cancellation fee. As of 07/16 there are so many ants on my front steps and side walk and still no mouse trap for the outside. They also charged me twice of ****** on the same date. Disputing the charge with my bank since ecoshield is doing nothing.

      - [ ] I was home working and I got a door knock a representative from Eco shield showed up said he does some pest spraying elimination. he had like a quote around $400 wasn't going to do that and then you said you know what I can do a deal around 183 some dollars that's reasonable . I don't know it went so fast he told me all right I'm going to send you a text fill that out so I scrolled right down to where I need to be. So I thought I was agreeing to 1 time charge for the whole year service application. That would not be charge again till the following year. 2 days later I was charge 214 instead of 183 on my card. I call the company and the representative said they needed to add the taxes. I ask 3 times there wont be any more charges on my card. He assure me that it was a 1 time charge for the year services. But on June 30th I was charge another ****** on my card. Which I never agree on or authorized. I call the company then the scam was relived. I sign an agreement that it would cost me 214 for each time they service me and I had a 2 YEAR contract with them. Flat out lied to me from the start. I would never agree to. The manager said they dont do that type of practices and are up front with all the services. Fat lie! I was going to be charge 400 for termination of my contract with them. I refuse to pay any thing more to them and I would **** Then he offer me a deal for 1 year 120 per service (2 left on my contact) no cancellation fee if I would agree. I told him put it in writing that no more than **************************************************** writing fist before I agreed. Still waiting on that agreement. I representative did not speak of a contract and cancellation of $400mad. Planning contacting the attorney general in the state of ********* this week. I still waiting to hear back from eco shield - bait and switch thats wrong!

      Ecosheild pest solutions promises to deliver pest control that is 100% safe for dogs, but after the products they sprayed on and around my property on 6/25/2024 my dog became violently ill. She threw up over 10 times and I had to take her to the vet and paid over $800 on vet bills. The illness occurred well after these products were allowed ample time to dry completely (at which point they claim it safe for pets to be outside, it is not). I requested a list of their products to review the contents and found that all of their products are highly toxic to dogs and all animals, even when dry. ********* has refused to refund my money and is trying to get another $327.08 for cancellation my services.

       I am rejecting this response because:
      I do have a toxicology screen because it was not ran when I took her to the vet. My veterinarian agrees that all of the products that were used on my property are absolutely toxic to pets. I have requested a letter from them stating this. Once I get the letter I will upload it.

       I am rejecting this response because:
      This is the same response sent the previous time and the same response I have been given in my correspondence prior to involving the BBB. 

      Just because you say your products are safe for pets does make it so. If you look the ingredients and warning labels on the product list you sent me you see that each and every product label clearly states HAZARDOUS AND TOXIC TO DOMESTIC ANIMALS 

      Please dont suggest a toxicology report to me again, I was in a panic thinking my dog was going to die and I did not have one ran at the vet. I had labs drawn but it was not specifically a toxicology report. 

      I just want a refund for what you have charged me and I want the cancellation fee waived. I should have you reimburse me for my $800 vet bill but Im not asking for that. Please just refund me what you charged and waive the cancellation fee.

      7/5/24 EcoShied Pest Control visited my home again for the 3rd time after telling them we are not interested. Today when they came by they were very pushy and aggressive with insisting my daughter bring an adult to the door. I was in another room and unavailable. The man directed and insisted she get an adult now, as if he were an authority figure. It was inappropriate and predatory behavior. We have clearly expressed we are not interested in their services numerous times.

      Salesperson for Ecoshield showed up At my door to sell me a discounted pest control. He told me about all my neighbors that were getting this done and that I could get it done on a trial basis a cancel at anytime .He was convincing do I agreed but instantly regretted after reading online reviews . I called customer service and spoke to **** who says he cancelled my account and I wouldnt be charged cause I canceled right away. I then received 3 different emails saying they will be out to do my initial service on July 29 and then a different email saying July 1. I also was harassed by the same person who returned to my door after canceling demanding an explanation for cancellation and did not want to accept my cancellation. I have the email stating my account is canceled so why am I still receiving emails saying they are coming out for initial service . This company is running bad practices. I just want to be done with this already . I had to cancel my debit card in fear that I was going to be charged for services I cancelled . I am now in fear they are going to show up at my door trying to do services I have cancelled and do not want and will be continually harassed by this company. I am a single mom living alone with my two children and taking care of my ailing 82 year old mother . This is just wrong.

They said I signed up for a year service and they could not help me. I got transferred numerous times with the same result. They would not cancel the account.       I did send this complaint to BBB and would like help with this matter.

      I got this service to get rid of the ants in my house. They are little ants from cement slab under my house. The little ants are no longer but now I have bigger ants and some other insect Ive never seen before that have wings and crawl on the ground. I now also have bigger ants in the kitchen and the bathroom, many of them. I cant really afford another ****** for the next 3 application. I called to cancel the service and talked with 2 separate people, one being ********. They both would not cancel the service but offered 30 dollars less on application. They both just kept arguing with me that I had to pay for the entire 4 applications. They did send an email that if I paid 300 dollars they would cancel the service. That is the total amount for 4 applications. Im disappointed they would not help me. Thats when I contacted BBB. Thank you ***************************.
