Their service department is awful. I came in for an oil change and left with an expensive new oil pan because of "after market parts". They are scammers who make excuses why repairs need to be done. I would never go there again.

My name is *********************** I am the Service Director here at Buerkle Honda.  I called and left a voice message for you to return my call so we can discuss your review related to the service visit on Saturday.  I am unsure as to why you are upset with Buerkle Honda being we have never changed oil on this vehicle.  When the drain plug was removed from the engine oil pan to drain the oil there were pieces of metal threads stuck to the drain bolt that came out of the pan.  We then advised you of the situation and provided an estimate to repair.  There is nothing that Buerkle Honda could have done to prevent or cause the drain pan threads to be coming apart being we were not the facility that installed the drain plug when oil was last changed.

I am completely dumbfounded by what just happened to me. I was in the process of trying to purchase a vehicle, and a sales manager sold it to someone else right under my nose. Here's the story: I spoke with a nice salesman named ****************** at 9:01 this morning about a 2017 Honda Ridgeline that I was very interested in. I spoke with him again at 10:27 AM, and on that call I gave him my credit card number and sent him a picture of my drivers license because I intended to purchase the vehicle. Shortly thereafter, another customer came in to test drive the vehicle, and the manager named *********************** told **** that he would sell it to this customer if they wanted to buy it. I just heard from **** and that customer is now are in the process of purchasing the vehicle. This type of business practice is absurdly unethical, and I believe it is also illegal. I have NEVER experienced such incredibly shabby customer service.

These are the two responses I have left for ***** the first is his direct email and the second is a response to his public review.

    ****,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out with your concerns.  I had a chance to speak with all of the parties(on our end) involved with this situation and wanted to shed some light on why the decision was made to sell the vehicle to the other customer. We have a process that we follow for taking deposits from customers who are not at the dealership.  Each step of that process must be followed for the vehicle to be considered sold and unavailable.  While you were in the process of providing your card number, the other customer was already in the dealership and looking at that vehicle as well as another.  It wasnt until that sales person was requesting the keys from **** that he called you back to get a credit card deposit.  Since we have a customer here live in the store looking at a vehicle, we do not sell that vehicle out from underneath them the tie goes to the customer in the store if you will.  That customer is given the first crack at buying that vehicle, however if they leave and do not buy, the deposit is immediately taken from the customer on the phone and it then is locked up as a sold vehicle for them.

I apologize that you feel shorted by this policy, it is not our intention to have any guest feel that way.  Due to the high level of interest in this vehicle and the situation, there was going to be at least one disappointed customer when two or more customers want to buy the same vehicle at the same time.  We have our policy in place to be the most fair we can be when it comes to these situations, however it doesnt always prevent people from feeling the frustration of missing out on a vehicle they wanted.  We are happy to try and find you a substitute vehicle in a similar price range knowing that vehicles in that price range are not abundant we can certainly keep looking if you are interested.  Im happy to discuss further if you would like.

    2nd Response to Review:

****, thank you for taking the time to email me directly with your concerns and allow me to respond. While it is frustrating when 2 different customers are trying to buy the same vehicle, we are unfortunately going to have a customer who is upset that the vehicle is sold to someone else. I'm happy to discuss further with you and work towards locating you a different vehicle if you are interested. Thank you, ************************* General Manager

I purchased a Honda Odyssey EX-L last night from Buerkle Honda and I am very disappointed in both the sales and the condition of the vehicle. Its new with 9 miles on it and noticed several defects that were pointed out to ******* prior to purchase. Said that he would let the service department know so that the issues could be addressed, so I continued the purchase. ******* entered price/loan terms into his system and an agreement was generated stating 2.9% APR/48 months. I signed and was then brought to finance and terms had changed to 3.9% APR/48 months. I asked if I did not qualify for top tier pricing. She stated I did qualify but the terms for the month of March were now 3.9% not 2.9%. The previous agreement was less than one hour previous so I dont get how they could change same day. I felt pressured to sign and it was now after hours. I feel like this was bait and switch. I purchased some accessories and ******* failed to get them prior to get them before their service department closed even though I told him from the start that I wanted All Weather Mats and a Cargo tray. I was told that I would have to come back for the accessories or take used ones out of another vehicle. After signing paperwork, I get out to the car and find that none of the defects were resolved. I tell the sales rep this and he states that he will take care of me the following day. I saw ok and drive home. The following morning (today) I drive out to the dealership. The sales rep brings out the accessories and I again point out all of the defects. He says that h*** see what service can do. He takes the car and a bit later he is back and says that they did the best that he could and that the center console defect behind the front cup holders cant be fixed and he also states that there is no way to prove that the cut to the fabric of the back driver side seat was there when I left last night even though I had pointed it out upon first inspection of the vehicle prior to signing anything.

Bought a used 2013 CRV under the impression I was buying a functioning car. Had it for 1 year and put ***** miles on it from purchase. Just sank $6200 in replacing the engine because the timing chain came loose (120k miles). Did they not do any kind of inspection when they took it in?
