  This company is a total scam! The original purchase was in 2018, and we have not been able to use our property even once, and it is becoming nothing more than a financial burden. This company used very misleading and incorrect information to convince us to make the original purchase. We have been misled by their sales team regarding what we would be able to do with our timeshare and points. We have not been able to do anything that was promised. The sales pitch was extremely high pressured and we were not able to leave to think about it or gather information to do research at home. We have disputed the actions of this company and the sales team for providing incorrect/impartial information only to be ignored. Totally unprofessional conduct from this company. We have no reason to continue making payments on something we were not promised and continue putting us in difficult financial situations. We will not be lied to and misled by this company anymore. All we want to do is close our account, but they have proved to be money-hungry vultures

  I have been receiving calls from the Vice President for Client Services **************** finally had the opportunity to speak with her, and we discussed my reasons for wanting out of my timeshare. Our conversation was pretty brief. I reiterated my complaint that in spite of having told the sales rep several times about my preferred travel style, I got a package I couldn't really use. I don't think she heard me any better than he did! I also brought up my experience with having a reservation fail, and got no response there. She actually had the audacity to suggest to me that I was getting MORE than what I paid for because they had added properties. Are you kidding me? I just told you a list of complaints and concerns, and your response is to tell me that I am getting MORE than I should be?! I would hate to see what they would consider as being right on par for what I paid for then, because I am getting nothing out of this ownership! This is exactly why I am upset and wanting out!

  Years ago I know it was over 10 years ago my fiance and I had purchased this property and with the agreement that they said that when our unit or our territory is filled up in other words sold that I they would buy it back from me if I wanted well in the process my fiance has passed away and I do not I cannot afford this this property I am only one income and I'm on social security and I just need for them to do what they said they were going to do years ago this has been going on for a long time I can't use it I can't get rid of it I have already spent $1,800 on companies who say that they can sell these properties for me that's a whole different story please help me if you can I can't even find where there has been reviews unless in a complaint form on stormy point years ago when I tried to get something done stormy point had a section for reviews and all of their problems were the same as mine they did not live up to their bargain so please contact me with any information you can find thank you

  Summerwimds/ Sormy Poimt is a rip off. I have paid off the timeshare. I have never been able to use the timeshare. I was told there is hot weeks at $299.99 . I have tried for years to get one . No hot weeks available. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I told the rude staff that I just wanted out of the timeshare. I was told that I would have to pay between $300.00 to $3,000.00 to get the deed released. I was also told that they might not except the deed to be released so I am still stuck. I just want out . What can I do now???

  My husband and I purchased a tri- annual timeshare at Stormy Point in July 2013 because our salesman stated if we gave *** $250.00 per existing timeshare he could easily sell our timeshares online for a premium price. He called *** on the phone and *** testified yes he'd sure do that. Of course, that didn't happen. We attended another sales meeting in 3/2023 and our salesman told us we could only use our timeshare in February now because that's on our contract even though it's red and the (original salesman told us that didn't matter) to escape the maintenance fees with an additional $800.00 outdoor maintenance fee we have no choice but to pay thousands more to upgrade. I WANT OUT!!!

  Stormy Point, Summerwinds, ******* ********* are all ripoffs! They do not deserve any stars!!! I purchased this timeshare in 2013 and was told I could use Trading Places Intl. to exchange our week. Not true anymore. We've been through 2 meetings with Stormy Point/ Summerwinds where they tried to strongarm us into upgrading so they could screw more money out of us. Now, ******* ********* is the owner of Stormy Point Village. We've met with them 3 times, each time they have tried to con us into upgrading to their point system by simply investing more than $10,000. We turned down the first 2 offers but accepted the last one this fall after being told after a year we could surrender our time share and be free and clear of it. Lie! Fortunately, I discovered this lie and canceled my contract within the required time. Now, I've tried to deposit my week for 2023 with Interval Intl. twice after receiving a reservation number and week for trade only for Interval Intl. to send me a card stating ******* ********* has denied the transaction. I am ****** and so very angry that I ever purchased this stupid timeshare. I can't even give it away! Then to top it all off ******* ********* Rep tells me when I die, they will come after my wife and kids for any and all monies for the rest of their lives. Bull.... They are all liars and scam artists (professional at that) DO NOT BUY A TIMESHARE!!!! Especially from ******* *********! I feel cheated and ripped off because what I agreed to 9 years ago is not what I have today!

  How do I file a class action lawsuit against Stormy Point/Capital Vacations?They are misleading and luring families and elderly people here and bullying them to purchase a contract. When you dont buy it they get very upset. We asked our representative ***** for information abt how to get in touch with the directors and he stated he didnt know? Every time we had a question abt our contract he would try and change the conversation. These people are scammmmmssss please do not let them trick you out of your money . August 22,2022

  From the very beginning, we have been lied to about our timeshare. The whole reason we were ever interested was because we were told by *********************** that it would be less money for us to come to our family reunion every year. But then we couldnt even use the timeshare she talked us into buying because we could only use it every other year, which is not how she sold it. After the first year where we didnt use it, the air conditioner didnt work and even the keys we had wouldnt get us into the house. When we did get inside, the floors were just dirty. This was something that seemed to be a problem with our property every time we stayed there. Hours of our lives that we can never get back were spent in more of these meetings, and all we came out with was more upgrades that we didnt need. Even when we made these other upgrades with *************************** and *****************************, we were told that our Stormy Point payment would be financed with the new loan we were getting but that wasnt the case. Instead we got extra payments that we didnt want. They also refuse to help us fix any of these problems that we are having.
