Dropped a mower off to have the blades sharpened and belts adjusted at Scotts Power Equipment in Wentzville. After two and a half weeks of my lawn mower just sitting there, I received a call from a worker named ***** who stated they had looked at my mower and was confused why I brought it in because it “was running fine”. I explained that I knew it ran fine and that I had dropped it off for the belts to be adjusted and the blades sharpened. After about 15 minutes ***** called back and now my carburetor was “squirting fuel” and it was unable to be repaired because parts were no longer available. I then told her that I was frustrated because there was nothing wrong with the operation of my mower when I dropped it off and she said they would see what they could do. Two days later, Friday 2-24-22 ***** again called me and said that the technician was unable to adjust my belts due to the mass about of fuel leaking and that the fuel was now mixing with the oil. I again explained that nothing was wrong with the mower when it was brought to them for service. ***** told me that they would be unable to repair the carburetor because the parts were discontinued and that I needed to come pick up the mower. I find it very disheartening that I dropped off a completely operational lawn mower for minor service and was returned a piece of equipment that I can no longer use or repair and that Scotts Power Equipment will do nothing to rectify the situation.
