Our family travel trailer was stolen from a locked facility while it was winterized on February 14, 2022. The person that stole the trailer was apprehended by ***************************** at a *** and Go near by the storage facility. ******* Towing was used by SPD to tow the trailer. We were not made aware of the trailer being stolen and it was April 6th 2022 when we went to check on it that we discovered it was missing. We filed a police report at this time on April 7th 2022. ******* only impounds for 45 days and after this point turns things over to salvage. Our trailer was given to a man, ************************* of ********************** at that time. When we got in contact with *** to get our stolen trailer back he told us we would owe him the money for ******* on top of his bill. *** told us the price and changed it three times for ******* and stated he would only accept cash. *** claims he has spoken with ***** at *******. When we went to ******* the office told us that they eat the cost (write it off as a business loss) when no one pays them and it reaches the 45 days. We went back a second time and asked again, if ******* would be charging us for their bill. They said no. *** is still claiming we owe him *********************** and his own. When we tried to contact the *** *****, at ******* we were not responded to. After a week of leaving a message we contacted them again and through another individual in the office were told ***** refused to take our call and there was "nothing to talk about". We have received no explanation on why we would need to pay *********************** to ***, in cash only, and the lady who took our call proceeded to hang up on us. There are things missing off the trailer that were on it when ******* took pictures of it when they picked it up. We went out to **** to see the condition of the trailer and found the leveling system missing, but it was on it in the pictures ******* took. The trailer is still with *** since he refuses to accept anything but cash.Initial Complaint

My vehicle a 1998 Harley-Davidson special construction bike VIN ***************** was towed by Henry’s on Aug 31 2021 I was incarcerated and they denied having it to my girlfriend when she called with the title then when I got out on December 6 2021 they first told me they didn’t have it then told me it was a 2018 then they told me it was sent to the crusher I was told by the Highway patrol they are supposed to send a registered letter to the owner Henry’s told Hollister Mo police dept they could not read the address on the tow sheet so letter was never sent meanwhile on a title search it still regesered to me and shows impounded I would like my property back or compensation for my property time and legal expenses
