The District maintenance is doing their job poorly and my building got a broken stairwell on the left side and been broken for almost a year and they don't bother to fix it and they never fix my dishwasher...even though they say they did but they lie about it and it didn't get fix at all and they didn't fix my window at all...that's a fire code/ Safety code...The District got poor communication and they really don't care bout it. And I know every apartment business raises the rent once a year but they didn't tell me about it at all, I was paying $694, now I'm paying $770 without they telling me...they didn't tell me anything about it and they put the wrong k*** on my door cuz my keys got broken...they supposed to put a k*** with a lock but they just put a regular k*** on my door. And the picture that connect with this complaint file is the picture of a wrong k*** on my door. The District maintenance just lazy, they doing their job poorly.Business Response

Doorknob Concerns:
Deadbolt is in place.
The doorknob was replaced with a passage k*** to prevent accidental lockouts. The unit is secure with the deadbolt in place.Dishwasher Concerns:

I have been living here for 7 years and have had many issues with this complex. The ignore my maintenance requests and don**;t send anyone out to address my requests. The roof needs to be replaced as well as my carpet. My unit was supposed to be treated for pests and nobody ever came, the management never put me on the list to have my apartment sprayed. I had a locking system provided by the complex that fell apart and management laughed when I brought it up.Business Response

Thank you for bringing these things to our attention. We are currently in the process of roof replacements along with replacing carpets in units that are vacant.
We do pest control treatments weekly so the tenant is able to add their name to the list weekly if needed. We are happy to do continued treatments until issues are resolved.

I called in a repair for my dishwasher 06/30/2023. I called in before regarding the dishwasher but they never fixed the issue previously. They stated that would get back to me regarding my dishwasher. Also, my hallway is filthy. The carpet needs to vacuumed and shampooed. The property is not being properly maintained. I would like my dishwasher fixed and the hallway cleaned.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:the hallway is not done and the facility is terrible. They sprayed my apartment 4 times for spiders in my place. I called about the house and they gave me a reference but they also said something bad about me. I just want them to give me a good reference and tp get out of the lease.

All I am asking for the regional manager to contact me. He stated that if I would find a place and put in a 30 day notice that I would be able to leave in good standing. I found a *************** to rent they informed me the this business disclosed some information to them that they would not tell me and now I am unable to rent from them for that.Customer Answer

The regional manager emailed me and I told him the hallways are still not clean. They still need a spraying. He has taken care of the other stuff. I just really want the hallways clean and to spray again. If they clean the hallways and spray again, I will close the complaint. I appreciate the regional manager reaching out to me so fast.

They put a brand new dishwasher in my apartment. It was defective. It ran good for 1 week after that it stopped working. I told them there was a strong odor coming from the dishwasher. When I opened it up this morning there are fruit flies coming out of it. I told them the dishwasher needs to be replaced and they are still not doing anything about it. I would like my dishwasher replaced.Customer Answer

This issue has been resolved by the business. They ordered me a brand new dishwasher and the hallways are clean and they have upgraded me to a nicer apartment and I am saving $10.00 more. ******* has taken care of the issue and she has apologized. She did a wonderful job of resolving the issue and her attitude is much better and I really pleased with the turn around.Initial Complaint

The Lease signing procedure was odd , I was never shown a apartment, I had to sign a lease first in order for the apartment to be held. I signed a 50 page lease agreement electronic, but the pages I received where 12 pages and they did not look like any of the pages that I originally signed. I paid 300.00 dollars in cash towards the deposit, and I still have the receipt that the one of the property manager have me after giving her the 300.00 dollars in cash. I also paid 100.00 to hold the apt. and then 50.00 for the application fee prior to giving them 300.00 dollars. The apt complex put the address on the the lease and I went to the apt and I seen a welcome mat outside the door and I seen the light on in this apartment Like some lived there. I was informed that they would work with me with the total balance of 1234.00 minus the 300.00 which left me with a round about balance of 934.00 and when I returned to pay the total amount of 934.00 I was informed that the the lease was canceled. The reason for the lease being cancel was that they did not hear from me, by phone or email. I already informed them when I get pay. I did receive a email that my rent plus membership was cancelled but nothing personal was included in the email. I understand about not getting the 150.00 but I did not receive my 300.00. I was informed that I owed a debt, How could I owe a debt when I never even seen inside a apartment. I Just want my 300.00 dollars refunded back to me.Business Response

Multiple Issue with this apartment complex, they NEVER fulfill any verbal agreement or resolution they give no matter what it regarding. They refuse to handle maitence requests even when they threaten the health and safety of the residents and routinely lie to their clients. I have lived with this complex for 2 years & I pay almost 1300.00 a month to live here & cannot even get the information I need to handle the simples of issues on my own. They lie and say they have cancelled services they never cancelled resulting in extra charges to the account, they say they will remove charges then do not, they rented an apartment full of head lice to me & still 3 months in the lease has refused to replace the carpet they promised me they would when I moved in. I have been waiting since MAY for new carpet. Since May for an air conditioner filter in my unit, over a month for a water leak to be fixed properly there is mold everywhere my kids are getting sick we have no bathroom door & now water is pouring everywhere. I was told when I first signed my new lease the rent plus would be cancelled it never was. 09/02 to get the info for rent plus so i could cancel myself was the first month after moving in i saw the charges on my account i called the office spoke with *** was told it was an error i need do nothing it would be removed after 2 weeks and several emails it was but then in oct i was charged again and after many email i am being told i have to cancel myself but they refuse to give me the info i am req so that i can and lie and say they cannot do it themselves & continue fraudulently charging me. I ask for help with the ins issues one person tells me to get to hell, one person says it's not their problem & no one else has an issue ******* the manage says everyone is having issues. now it's been over a week still no help, charges still there, no maitence people have fixed and water is pouring all over electrical outlets & my ceiling & i have been told to move out via portalBusiness Response

To whom it may concern;
We are writing to you to respond to a complaint you received. Our maintenance team has successfully addressed and fixed all issues relating to ***** ******** unit at *** ******** ** *** ** Cape Girardeau MO 63703. Please see the email attached for confirmation. On the side of the carpet complaint, we do not replace carpet when the unit is occupied. Upon move in the tenant did a move in checklist and nothing was noted on the form. I have attached that move in checklist as well. As far as the head lice complaint, we contacted a local doctors office and they sent me what was on the CDC website. As noted in the paperwork attached you can only get from head to head contact.
