my ac/heat has been broken for months in my apartment. they have sent people out who look at it, tell me it’s messed up and i never hear from them again. there is also mold, maybe black mold coming in through my vents. they came and sprayed the whole area with bleach then reassured me it was just dirt. the apartment is never under 80 degrees. i keep my windows open, window unit ac on, doors open when im home, and it is still that hot. it is inhabitable. my cats water evaporates, my shelf food goes bad in a couple days. i have unopened candles MELTING because of how hot it is in my apartment. i can barely stand to stay there so i started withholding my rent. and still nothing, besides them tacking late fees on my portal where i pay my rent. Even after i told them it isn’t late, it’s being withheld until they can fix my furnace. also a couple weeks ago the toilet got clogged. i can not use it and have not been able to. filed a maintenance request to no avail. it’s hot, it’s moldy, the toilet doesn’t flush. and they are not doing anything to help me. i dont know what else to do at this point. ive lived here for 3 years and have never been late or missed my rent. there is no reason why they should not be fixing these problems to make my apartment habitable.

The issue is fixed now and it took a while because we could not find an HVAC company that had a tech that knew how to install the vent system. We also gave her a rent credit. We understand why she was upset but she was not ignored.
