      Called about getting a modem for my luna 2 that they were sopse to get me for o the last year now and then they want to come up with a lie saying i said something i didn't

      We followed her insurance guidelines and gave the patient the correct machine set at the correct pressure as per Medicaid guidelines. Modems for C-pap machines were not available at that time and are still not functional in that machine due to the manufacturer not supporting the software for us to receive data. Last year there was a SD card shortage that has affected many types of businesses. (Example cars, appliances, cellular phones)  There was a recall that affected nearly 12 million patients (15,000 of our patients)  that had Respironics machines and we switched out her machine on 11-10-2021 with a Luna machine at no charge to her that is not affected by the recall but they did not have modems. They did have the ability to mail in SD cards to get data and we gave the patient several SD cards at no charge in order for us to get her data from her machine. We can even send her addressed and stamped envelopes so she will not incur any charges. The patient said she refused that and mentioned talking to her lawyer. The last we spoke to the patient we were trying to explain this complicated situation that again has affected millions of patients and she hung up on us. Again we will be more than willing to send additional cards at no charge with stamps so she is able to get her data to us more easily.
