My motorcycle had a flat tire so I went to Gilbane Motor Sports to get it repaired. I told them I would buy a tire on the internet and have them mount it and they fix the flat. They put an inner tube in it. My son in law and I put on the tire and noticed that the tire was flat. I paid $93.00 to have it repaired by them and still I have a flat tire. I took the motorcycle down there and talked to a rep behind the counter. He said they would charge me $75 to take it off and put it back on. I said no you all will have to repair it because it was their mistake. The rep talked to the owner and the owner came out and talked to me personally and said that he was not going to do it. Basically he threw me out of his establishment. I still have a flat tire and I&#**;m a **** off customer and was totally disrespected in front of 2 employees. I would like my $93.00 refunded back to me.

You brought us in a wheel and a tire you bought on the internet.  We installed your carry in tire on the wheel.  Four days later you now say the is flat.  I agreed to replace the inner tube completely free of charge IF it was our fault, but since we did not have the wheel we could not verify.  We never charged you for installation and I can not warranty an hour of labor for something we did not do. The wheel sat here an entire day and night and never lost air. When you did not get what you demanded, you told me you would never do business here again and I told you I understand.  At no point did I ever tell you to leave, you were not welcome, any of that.  When you do the labor on your own motorcycle, you are unfortunately taking that liability.  If the tube was pinched, I would have 100% replaced it free of charge, but I am not warrantying labor I never charged for.

I took my fully custom bagger here for a tire change. After I left the front fender that we recorded them take off came loose going 50mph and almost cause a fatal accident. When I went to them for warranty exchange on rear tire due to them putting a tire to tall and it cause rubbing they tried saying it was my seat bolt that had been there for years and never caused an issue before but they used it as an excuse not to be a honest business. Plus the fender coming loose caused over 5k in damage to my bike but they try to say my bike was tuff condition when I have 30k in receipts for custom work. They don’t wanna honor their mistake so instead they try to insult my bike like I. See they have do t to previous customers. A place like this needs to be shut down for the safety of any potential customers to them. They have no morals and **** is very unprofessional and a liar I added a picture of after fender came loose to negligence and before it went to their shop. There needs to be justice because they think they can lie and steal

This bike showed up and hour before we closed on a roll back on May 22, 2023.  The rear tire was completely blown apart and the inner tube was hanging out the side.  When I first saw the bike, I thought it was being dropped off because of an accident.  The customer told us he had actually dropped the motorcycle off of a ramp trying to load the bike himself after getting the flat tire.  You can actually see the damage on the headlight nacel in his picture.  When the bike was upside down, it damaged the nacel, the front fender, the tank and the saddlebag.  Before the bike was ever unloaded, it was obvious the rear fender was also broken.  The rear fender was broken when the tow company attempted to load the bike.  It took four people to get the motorcycle off the roll back due to the blown out tire and the lack of ground clearance.  With the rear tire being completely flat and the bike being lowered, it drug on the ground coming off of the rollback.  All of this was done with the customer standing, watching.  By the time we were able to get the bike off the roll back, it was well after 5:30pm and we close at 6.  The bike has been lowered 2.5"-3", and the rear tire was completely flat.  With it sitting this low, it was physically impossible to put the bike on the side stand.  We decided to go ahead and stay late to put the tire on and get him home.  When the bike showed up it had a whitewall, MT90B16, mounted on a factory Harley wheel.  The customer did not have the funds at the time to replace it with a whitewall, so he opted to go with a black wall, Dunlop American elite MT90B-16, the exact same size tire that was removed.  This bike was customized some years back and has not been well kept since.  He told us the bike was new to him and he had only ridden it a few times.  By the time we got the bike on the lift and changed the rear tire, it was well after 6:00.  The rear brake pads were almost metal on metal, but the customer declined that repair as well due to the cost of the $45 brake pads.  In his complaint, he says the front fender fell off because we failed to tighten the fender.  The one and only thing we did on this bike was replace the rear tire.  The customer did not have the funds to replace the much needed rear brake pads, let alone pay us to work on the front end of the motorcycle.  The bike had a custom front wheel with a full wrap around fender.  The fender flopped horribly bad because of its size.  But we never touched the front fender, the front fender bolts or anything at all on the front end of his motorcycle and our repair order reflects.  You can see in the photographs the fender bolts did not fall out as he claims, however they completely sheered off and broke in half.  His other claim is that we improperly installed the rear tire because the tire was rubbing.  This motorcycle has a lowering kit, which you can see in the top right of the tire picture, with three settings.  It has been lowered to the lowest setting possible.  The customer also failed to mention that he himself changed the seat after we installed the tire.  You can see the different seats in the pictures.  The customer used a non oem seat bolt that was much longer than the factory bolt.  He then added a passenger on the rear of the bike.  With the bike being lowered nearly 3", the weight of two people on the bike, and a seat bolt that's too long, the tire began rubbing the seat bolt when they would hit a bump.  ** ******** just assumed we would replace the tire, free of charge due to his own negligence.  Mind you, the tire was installed May 22, 2023 and ** ******** did not contact us until August 14, 2023.  The issue with the bike is ** ********* own negligence.  Had the bike not been lowered 2.5"-3", had ** ******** not ridden with a passenger and had ** ******** NOT used the improper seat bolt, there would not have been an issue.  We see this problem regularly with bikes that have been lowered.  The bike was not intended, designed or made for this and is never a good idea.  It is also not a good idea to use non OEM fasteners, particularly on the seat where it can contact the tire.

I had Gilbanes shop pick my bike up in March 2022 for repair work. After 5 months of keeping it I finally got a call August 19th to pick it up.I paid the 1,691.99 cents. I rode it home only to find out that over night my brand new tire they had put on had went almost flat.My boyfriend and I had to go buy a air pump, which cost more money to air it up and bring my bike back in.I was told by **** ******* my tire needed a tube to hold in the air so again I had to pay more money 150$.as I rode off down the business loop home I heard a crunch looked back and seen my left hard bag fly off into traffic nearly missing a car and caused me to swerve off to the right of the road to a stopping point I then had to stop traffic to remove my hard bag from the road,it was scratched up badly, I had my boyfriend come pick up my bag and I rode home.Come to find the mechanic had only removed one bag to change my back tire when their suppose to remove both bags to check alimenent Iv had many bike mechanics tell me this it doesn’t make sense to only remove one.Gilbanes told me the bag that flew off they never touched but I find it strange that after owning my bike 2 years my bags have never came off untill I left Gilbanes that day claiming they never touched the one that came off.Now my back tail light won’t work my bag is damaged and my left blinker doesn’t work. I find them responsible for my left bag flying off almost causing a traffic accident and myself almost wrecking as I swerved I also pulled a muscle in my arm which I have to see a doctor this Thursday august 25th

The bike was towed in for a multitude of issues.  Its a 21 year old ****** that has been severely neglected for many years and has a lot of aftermarket, non ****** accessories installed including the flimsy saddlebags which are literally held on with a push pin, nothing else.   The exhaust on the bike is an aftermarket cheap system that has absolutely no support or hangers which caused the exhaust stud to break.  After dozens of attempts to extract the broken exhaust stud, we told the customer we had to remove the head and have a machine shop repair it.  This was not a quick procedure, but non the less we got it done.  The has been severely neglected of routine maintenance for years and it showed.  There were oil leaks everywhere.  I replaced all the rear rocker box gaskets for the customer completely for free.  The bike has never ran correctly due to a dirty carburetor.  Since the carb was already off, I cleaned it completely for free.  In her complaint she says the taillight light doesn't work.  That was actually one of her original complaints and I told her directly the light was no longer available and there was nothing I could do with it as the whole housing was broken in three pieces. She also wanted a rear tire, which we replaced.  She also wanted the handlebars fixed as cheaply as possible and also wanted a couple other chrome pieces added, which costed extra.  All of this totaled up to the claimed $1691.  Her bike had an aftermarket, Chinese rear wheel that was sealed from the factory, not by us.  We installed the tire and all was fine.  As stated earlier, the bike has aftermarket saddlebags which do not belong on the bike and are not ****** accessories.  There is absolutely no reason to remove the left saddlebag on this particular bike.  I even offered to show her the entire video of the repair to prove we never had the left saddlebag off.  When the boyfriend brought the bag in, I showed him the rubber grommets that were worn completely out and even showed him the flimsy clips that held the bags on.  I even offered to install the bag and repair the three broken wires completely for free and offered to get them a brand new bag at cost trying to help.  I even offered to re engineer how the bags attached completely for free so this problem wont happen again.  They declined all of it.   I have worked on this lady's bike multiples of times over the last 10+ years and even at different shops.   There is always an issue and always wants to blame somebody.  Part of having an older bike is having issues.  Accidents happen, but the bag falling off was not of any fault of ours.
