Dentists of St Peters made a billing error with *************** months following a procedure where they required 100% payment from me upfront. I paid $789.40 on Feb 8 towards this surgery. The office required payment in full before service. Several months later Im being asked to pay them more because of their billing error between the dentist and ***************.I made repeated calls to the dentists billing department and each call falls on deaf ears, never a call back. My insurance company ***** has also called to explain the problem to the dentist so they can remediate this billing problem going forward. This billing problem was caused by the dentists billing practice/process. The dentist entered an amount on the claim to Aetna incorrectly. Per Aetna this resulted in a check coming to me far after, several months after the procedure. This check was in my name. If this was to go to someone else it should have been in their name and sent to them directly. Naturally being months later this should be for overpayment if anything. This billing mistake was not my problem, nor caused by me. I followed instructions and paid in full 100% before the procedure as the dentist office required. I was not contacted in advance about this mistake, now several months later I am being asked to reimburse the dentist for their billing mistake via a bill that I do not agree with. Ive asked them to correct the billing mistake with Aetna. The monetary issue is between the dentist and Aetna. Again ***** has tried to call to explain the problem. Aetnas ticket for this is **********. The dentist is coming after me many months later for their mistake. I paid 100% as required upfront.I ask the dentist to zero out my balance as this is between the dentist and Aetna. I did not cause this problem. They seem to not understand this is their billing error and will not open the problem they created. Respectfully,*****
