With a new build, we had to go through Hopkins. After about 2 years in the house, the carpets needed to be replaced and at the very least stretched. After 3 weeks of calling and trying to get someone out to our house, they finally had ***** come at 6pm in the middle of the week. ODD timing and kind of uncomfortable that it wasn't during business hours. ***** came with a co-worker and asked for a payment of $150 cash or check only but could not provide a receipt. The day after ***** stretched the carpets, we noticed the transition pieces were extremely dented in where he fixed it. We called the next day and again for another 2 weeks without getting a call back or any sort of help. Finally, after 15 days, we got to speak to someone at the store. They said that ***** no longer works for the company, he did our carpet as a 'side job' and they could have someone come out to give us a quote to replace the piece since ***** is no longer with the company. We paid ***** $150 to stretch the carpets, just to find out, it was a 'side job' for him. We fought back, that we were not going to be paying anything additional as the transition piece was damaged by an employee of the company during his time there. Hopkins kept pushing back giving excuses. After about 5 minutes back and forth, they said they would call us back with an update. 2 days later, we still haven't received a call back with an update.
