I had my oil change July 17, 2024. I notice Oil leaking in my driveway. I notice oil spill in my garage. I drove you my car back to the shop and they added additional Oil. I advise them of oil spills in my drive and they confirmed they had forgot to tighten the casket after changing your oil. I had a new concrete driveway put in that the was damage by the oil spills. Employee of the shop came and he had a bag a sand on the driveway that he used on my driveway. I called several to talk with the owner by the name of (*******)Customer Answer

When Ms. ***** informed us that she had an oil leak after an oil change, we immediately went to her house to assess the leak. There were some drips on her driveway and inside her garage. We replaced the defective oil filter gasket and cleaned the vehicle. We have been to her house multiple times to clean the spots from her driveway and inside the garage. I personally hand scrubbed each individual spot with degreaser and then cleaner because she refused to let us power wash it. We have been there a total of five times to clean it. There are decades of oil stains inside the garage that are all over the place, possibly from lawn equipment. Most of the stains are not even under the vehicle. We have cleaned the driveway and garage as well as possible. I even cleaned areas of the garage that are not under where the vehicle sits.Initial Complaint

I have taken my car into Danmark Tire at least 4 times for an ac issue. They put Freon it 3 times and still was not working right. Eventually replaced a condenser. I had to take it to a different shop and they discovered my cooling fan was falling apart. Opinion is that the fan was not installed correctly after the condenser replacement. It should never take that many back and forth trips to diagnose. I used to trust them but not anymore. I also asked them to check my brakes at least 2 times and they said that they were fine each time. Turns out my brakes were not fine. I had to have them replaced front and back. I was told I cant believe that they said that your brakes are fine because they obviously were not.Business Response

Ms. ****** brought her car in on April 9 for us to check for an ** leak. We previously filled the refrigerant and added dye to the system so it would be more obvious where it was leaking. It held vacuum each time we filled the refrigerant and we found no leaks at the time we filled the refrigerant. On April 9, we found that the ** condenser was the culprit. The customer authorize the repair, we fixed it, and she picked it up. We have not heard anything from her since. This was four months ago. She paid $815.65 for that repair. Im sorry that her opinion is that the fan was installed incorrectly, but the radiator fan does not have to be removed to change her ** condenser. We did not remove the fan, or break it. She has not spent $2000 here. Im not sure how she came up with that number.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:
This is an unacceptable resolution. I paid a lot of money at Danmark and I can prove it. The service that they performed DID damage my cooling fan and I had no AC yet again. I was also told that my brakes were fine after having them looked at 2 times. Iended up going to another shop which did know what they were able to get the air running properly and replace front and back brakes. I could or anyone in my car have been killed or in an accident due to their negligence.
Sincerely,
***** ******Business Response

I have tried to provide the procedures to remove and install the condenser, but the BBB link will not accept pictures. At no time does the cooling fan need to be moved or removed. We did not break the fan. As for the brakes, they were safe when it left our shop and would have passed a Missouri safety inspection. Sometimes parts fail. Not by any persons fault, just because of time, temperatures, and use. Again, we last serviced her car five months ago and the air conditioning was working when it left our shop.Customer Answer

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Danmark Tire & Auto, located at *** ***** ******* **, Florissant, Missouri *****, for the loss of my property and subsequent poor customer service. On January 18th, 2024, I entrusted my 2013 Chevrolet Cruze to Danmark Tire & Auto for heating repairs, leaving two key fobs with the technician, *******. Despite explicitly explaining the importance of both fobs due to one being damaged, upon picking up my vehicle on January 19th, I discovered one key fob missing. I asked the technician for the other key fob, and a few moments later, ******* began looking for the key fob in my car and around the auto shop. ******* told me to contact them via phone the following week: My follow-up calls on January 23rd and 24th resulted in unfulfilled promises for callbacks from *******. Moreover, *******'s suggestion (during the January 24th phone call) to bring my car back for a search was impractical and redundant, as I had already conducted thorough searches, in addition to his search for the key through the car on the evening that I picked it up from Danmark. The continued lack of resolution and communication from Danmark Tire & Auto demonstrates a disregard for customer property and service quality. I request immediate action to locate my missing key fob or provide compensation for its replacement. I have attached a price quote from Johnny Londoff (i.e., the company from which I purchased my 2013 Chevrolet Cruze). I have also attached a copy of the invoice for the service Danmark rendered to me on the evening that they lost my key fob. I expect a professional response, acknowledging the service failure and outlining steps for resolution.Business Response

We did lose the key. We asked her to bring it back to see if we could find it in the car. The tech said it may have fallen between the seats. She did not bring it back for us to check the car. We would have gotten a new key for her if we could not find it. I will still replace the key because we lost hers.Initial Complaint

Upon Installation of Master Brake cylinder, Danmark damaged the power brake booster. While unable to obtain the Correct part, they installed an aftermarket booster not intended for an existing power brake system. Due to their repair work, my brakes failed twice while in heavy traffic.Business Response

We did not damage the power brake booster. It was not working properly when he brought the car in.Initial Complaint

Consumer brought his 2010 lexus in for us to install his part (right front hub bearing). We could not get the old hub bearing off. we worked on it for over two hours.
we only charged him 75 for 2 hours of labor. the sensors are inside the hub bearing. We did not install his bearing. the lf bearing is making noise also, that could be his problem. he could have had the wrong bearing also. we did nothing to cause his problem.

I took my car in to get a aftermarket alternator out in at 8am on the dot on Monday morning June 27th. 9 hours later I receive a call that my alternator fits but they can’t clip it on ( all it needed was wired on) and they can’t do anything about it. They ended up charging me 660$ to pretty much take my car all day mess with all my sound equipment and not fix anything. I think this is a terrible business and something needs to be done about this because it happens to much.Business Response

Mr. ****** came to our shop on 27 June 2022. He requested an ac service as well as for us to install his own aftermarket alternator. He was quoted a price of $448 to install his supplied alternator and was told in advance that there is no warranty whatsoever. 3.2 hours of labor at $140 per hour comes to $448. He was called mid day when we removed alternator from his vehicle and was notified that the alternator does not fit his vehicle. The mounting holes were in the incorrect places, the plug in had only two wires while his old alternator has three, and the pulley was a different diameter and would require a different length belt. I’m including pictures of the old alternator and the replacement (incorrect) one. $180 of his total bill was for the AC service. Mr. ****** told us to put his old alternator back on, so that’s what we did. We charged him the amount that he authorized for the repair. We did not supply the alternator and cannot be responsible for refunding labor time that was spent on his vehicle.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
They are literally the same I am having someone else who actually has the required set of skills to do this job because obviously this establishment is a sham. A grounding wire can be fit on and the clip fits they are literally the same. Their reply is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable.
Sincerely,
