On 2/14/2024 I paid Down Right Tile a deposit of $4,536.00 for a bathroom renovation. They never came back to my house to do the work and would reply to my emails with a generic, "We are busy." so I asked for a refund during the first week of May 2024 and ever since **** ****** is refusing to return my deposit.

    Hello,

The owner of the company, **** ******* emails me weekly stating that he will not return my deposit. His email address is ******************.com . The company phone number is ###-###-####. The company website is **************** . If Cody is not responding to you then he is purposely ignoring you. What additional actions can the BBB take to compel **** ****** to return my deposit?

    Thanks,

    Business Response

    Date: 07/01/2024

Project schedule: This client said we never had his project scheduled.  We had several dates planned, but for one reason or another they did not work for ***.  He did not like the first date, so it was pushed back, we can't stop working until the day Joe finally excepts a date.  He didn't like the second date, the third option he was out of town and that wouldn't work.  So again, we have to keep working on projects to keep money coming into our small business.  This went on until he was frustrated and wanted his deposit refunded.  There is a dispute resolution clause in our contract, and the client has ignored this too.  He has given every contractor that has ever worked with him a one star rating on ******.  I think he does not understand how a small remodeling business works and it frustrates him.  We have tried and tried to please him to no avail.  No we wish to resolve this dispute professionally the way that is instructed in our contract that the client signed.

You will see from our 5 star reviews, which we have received from every client since we have been in business that we have integrity, and do exceptional work.  There is always one bad egg in the bunch.

Again, we wish to resolve this matter as it was intended to be resolved, via our contractual method.

    thanks,

    ****
