I shopped at your Entertainmart store in **************** on 26 Feb. They had a sign up in the book section that said " all new and pre owned books, buy 2 get 1 free." I had six books when I went to go check them out and the person at the register said she could not honor the promo since it was for Presidents day only. No where on the flyer did it say that it was for presidents day or for a certain date range. This is unsatisfactory as it is false advertisement and misleading. Please contact me to let me know how you would like to resolve this matter. You should not be misleading customers and doing a bate and switch on them just to bring in business and then **** them off. ****** ********* ************ Hello,I sent the email below about a week ago and never heard back. I emailed the company's ********************************** email twice (once in 27 Feb and again on 8 Feb) and never heard back from anyone. I just emailed them again today (11 Apr) and would like to get a resolution to this matter. Thank you.****** ********* ************Business Response

Vintage Stock has been in business since 1980. We have a built a solid customer base that we are very proud of. In most cases we do our best to give our customer the benefit of the doubt and in many occasions we will discount product or honor previously held promotions. In this case specifically our staff failed to take down one of the promotional signs from our Presidents' Day Sale that was held the week before. Honest mistake, the store is ****** sq feet of retail space. This was not an attempt to deceive our customers. This customer was told prior to completing the transaction that the items selected would not be sold at the promotional discount. The customer had the opportunity at that point to not continue with the purchase. If our staff member did not share that information with the customer, simply rang up the customers purchace and the customer noticed post completing the purchase then we would be inclined to issue a refund. However, the customer had full information as to what the price would be and continued to purchase the product knowing they would not fall under the promotional pricing.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the business' response regarding complaint ID ******** and consider it resolved. I was contacted by leadership from the company who apologized for the mistake and sent me $20 in gift card to make up for the confusion. Not sure why the response on here is laying the blame on me. Talk out of one side of your mouth next time.
Sincerely,
****** *********Initial Complaint

Went into vintage stock and told an employee I wanted a Nintendo wii that me and my 4 year old son could play together. He took one off the shelf and stated it had only 1 controller and I would have to purchase another. No problem I told him. He looked around the store and there was not another one to be found. Another employee said he would check the back. After few minutes he came out and said he found one in the back and he put ut on the box with the rest of the gaming system. I then ask *** if I had everything there so me and my 4 year old son could play together as soon as we get home. He said yes your all set. After getting home and hooking up the system I discovered the 2nd employee added a controller accessory and not a 2nd controller. Therefore I could not play the system with my 4 year old son. I feel this employee deceived me intentionally just to make a sale..I am extremely disappointed in being taken advantage of and having a moment between me and my son ruined by greed.Initial Complaint

On Thursday 12/22/2022 I dropped off a big ************ to sell, containing some newer more valuable items along with some that wasn't very valuable. They said they would call me after they were done going through them. A winter storm come in the next day, so I didn't figure on hearing from them soon. On Tuesday 12/27/2022 I still never heard from them, so I called them and spoke to ******. He said he went through them and said I had $2.85 worth of books. I knew my books were worth much more than that, so, I told him "No thanks, I'll just come pick up my books in little while". When I got to the store on 12/27/2022, half of my items were missing. All the newer more valuable books were not in my bag. I asked to see the manager. ****** said he was the manager. I asked him to make it right, and he refused. I had no other recourse but to take what was left in my bag and leave. I never got all my books back, and never received any compensation for the missing books. Will take it up with BBB. I believe this was a practice called skimming, where the skimmer takes some of your items to benefit the skimmer.I know I have $50 worth of books missing. They were newer and more expensive books missing. The books they give me back were cheap books. Ripping off your customers is not right. This is Theft. That's illegal.Initial Complaint

The transaction happened yesterday 06/20/2022 at Vintage stock in ************** in ******* ******. I went in and saw a playstation 3 remote. The remote was in a box and it said it was officially licensed remote. The store worker told me it is an original and they are hard to find. I purchased the item under the impression this was an officially licensed product and when I got home I started to realize the remote was a knock off third party remote trying to imitate an official playstation. The remote was $45.00. I tried to get a refund letting the manager know I was under the impression it was officially licensed and he said he wouldnt do a refund. This was a scam and he should know better than to sell an unofficial product displaying it as an official one. My goal is to receive a refund because the product is barely usable. I still have the remote in it's original box with the sticker/tag on it with the bar code.
